Program Description: The Creighton in China (CIC) summer program is an FLPA (Faculty-Led Program Abroad) program which gives students the opportunity to take part in an immersive three- week academic and cultural trip across China. It is a joint-program with students from St. Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN) and takes Creighton and Saint Mary’s students to several Chinese cities (big and small, ancient and modern) across China. CIC is an immersive travel experience and as such mainly involves travel, interaction with Chinese students and various other activities to give students the true taste of China. CIC also gives students the distinct opportunity to do service at an orphanage and teach in Chinese universities. Students who have been on the trip in the past have made many friends, experienced China in many ways (from its delicious, authentic food to its historical sites and language) and have made memories that will last a lifetime.
