Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Janet Scotland today met the Union of Youth Affairs and Sports (Independent Charge) Col Rajyavardhan Rathore. SPORTS

NEWS ● Colonel Rathore proposed the idea of Commonwealth Youth Festival

with Commonwealth Games.

● The proposed youth festival can be a platform for enhancing the youth in

the informal environment among Commonwealth countries, which is

often lost in the highly competitive environment of the Games.

● Colonel Rathore said that organizing Commonwealth Youth Festival with

Commonwealth Games could increase the capacity of the game to

deliver positive message. ● The Youth Affairs and Sports Minister apprised the General Secretary of the concept of Play India Plan and upcoming Play India School Games. ● He also gave information about the success of the Games in separating youth from militancy. ● Colonel Rathore illustrated the popularity of football in the Kashmir Valley. ● The two leaders agreed to develop the virtual community of players from the players and Commonwealth countries where free exchange of ideas

can strengthen the relationship between players and future leaders.

● In this two-day workshop, officials of about 400 Sakhi One Stop Centers and 33 States and Union Territories of the country will participate in the Nodal Officers of State and Women and Child Development Department. ● The initiative for the officers of the One Stop Center in the category of Central Administrators and Consultants and the concerned officers is to understand the measures to strengthen multi-sectoral action related to dealing with violence against women through the one-stop centers across the country, discussing them. ● It is related to doing and discussing. ● The Ministry has approved the plan to set up One Stop Center (OSC) to help women affected by violence on March 4, 2015. ● Implementation of the scheme, popularly known as Sakhi, is being done on April 1, 2015.

● The aim of this scheme is to provide integrated support including medical

assistance, police assistance, legal help / case management,

psychological counseling and providing temporary support services to women affected by violence.

India and Morocco signed agreements for cooperation in water resources, roads and marine sectors.

India and Morocco signed MoU for boosting cooperation in healthcare facilities

● Mr. JP Nadda said that there are strong and rich traditional relations

between the two countries. ● He mentioned India's best generic medicines and said that India is exporting these medicines to more than 200 countries and we have a strong public health system here. ● This system is monitored through the National Health Mission. ● Shri Nadda said that between the two countries, the two countries will be able to increase mutual cooperation within the framework of the MoU and co-operate in the health sector.

● He said that the process of application for Hajj 2018 has been started on November 15 and more than 1000 women have applied till now (December 13th) to go for Hajj without "Mahram". ● The application deadline for Haj has been extended till December 22. ● According to the new Hajj policy, women over 45 years of age who want to go on Hajj without a male partner, have been allowed to go to Hajj travel in groups of 4 or more women.

Niti Aayog will celebrate tomorrow as ATL Community Day

● This day will be celebrated as Community Campaign Initiative, in which 25 young consultants will interact with more than 200 students who are not enrolled in the formal education system. ● Shri Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer of the Niti Aayog, will launch this initiative. ● During this time, the consultant will conduct a brief session with the children of various NGOs (NGOs) by visiting four places in New Delhi and tell them how innovation can solve the problems of the communities. ● The objective of the Atal Tinkering Laboratory Community Campaign Initiative is to increase the impact of Atal Tinkering Laboratories by spreading innovation to such children of the community, who do not go to formal educational institutions.
