    Zeitreisen auf dem Balkan (von Christian Troyke) Jedes Jahr findet Anfang Dezember die Europäische Blitz- und Schnellschachmeisterschaft statt, für gewöhnlich in einem ost- bzw. südosteuropäischem Land. So waren wir in den vergangenen beiden Jahren bereits in Tallinn/Estland und Katowice/Polen. In diesem Jahr wurde die Meisterschaft für den 06. bis 09. Dezember nach Skopje in Mazedonien vergeben. Schnell war für uns (Cliff Walther, Doreen & Christian Troyke) klar, dass wir da auch wieder hin müssen. Zunächst stellte sich die Frage, wie wir die Anreise gestalten. Selbstverständlich gibt es auch Direktflüge nach Skopje, aber das wäre natürlich viel zu einfach. Es galt insbesondere die Frage zu beantworten, ob ein solcher Trip auf den Balkan nicht auch gleich noch mit dem Besuch eines oder mehrerer Fußballspiele verknüpft werden kann. Cliff fehlte nämlich noch der bulgarische Länderpunkt. Den weniger Fußball-affinen Lesern sei hier verraten, dass ein Länderpunkt der Besuch eines Fußballspiels in einem beliebigen Land der Erde ist. Nur aktives Mitglied der FIFA muss dieses Land sein...und Bulgarien fehlte Cliff zu unserer Überraschung tatsächlich noch. Also haben wir einen Hin- und Rückflug von Frankfurt/M. nach Sofia gebucht, mit Lufthansa und pro Person unter 100 Euro – da kann man nicht meckern. Groß war dann auch die Freude als bekannt wurde, dass am 04.12. in Plovdiv das Stadtderby zwischen Lok Plovdiv und Botev Plovdiv in der ersten bulgarischen Liga stattfindet. Mein guter Kumpel Georgi ist wohnhaft in Sofia, seine Heimatstadt ist jedoch Plovdiv und es war für ihn kein Problem, die Eintrittskarten für uns zu organisieren.
