Tony Grantham, USN (4th) Navy dominated the game statistically, outgaining the Eagles, 403-315. The Mids rushed for 322 yards against the Asst. Athletic Director for Sports Perf. Mike Brass (6th) nation’s 15th-ranked rush defense and held BC to just 73 yards rushing. The Navy defense held BC to 242 yards pass- ing and picked off Ryan twice. Navy held a 33:23-26:37 advantage in time of possession and recorded three sacks. White led the Navy rushing attack with a career-high 116 yards on just seven carries. Singleton had a career- high 71 yards on just six carries. Kaheaku-Enhada completed four of his six pass attempts for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, David Mahoney (Sr./Fort Myers, Fla.) finished his phenomenal career with eight tack- les, two tackles for a loss and a sack. John Chan (Sr./Pleasant Hill, Calif.) and Jeromy Miles (Sicklerville, N.J.) recorded six tackles apiece. Postseason Notes Navy Football Game Notes v Johnson’s v Johnson Dominant Against Service Academy Teams With 9-1 Record Awards & Honors With a 26-14 victory over Army, Navy head football coach Paul Johnson improved to 9-1 (.900) as a head coach against service academy • Led Navy to its first national ranking teams (4-1 against Air Force and 5-0 against Army), the best start for a head coach in school history against the other two service academies. since the 1963 season when the Mids fin- Johnson is just the second coach in school history to win his first-five games against Army, joining legendary head coach Wayne Hardin (won ished the season ranked 24th in both his first five, 1959-63).
