His gospel of unconditional love expressed through selfless service to the mankind and society continues to inspire the members of the Sai Organisation and others worldwide to take voluntary initiatives for constructive work. His teachings of universal love and acceptance have found their way into millions of hearts in India and abroad, transcending all boundaries of race and religion. Sri Sathya Sai Baba stresses on the equality of all religions, embracing all faiths as valid ways to truth, peace, love and God. He emphasizes on service to fellow human beings, and, by example, has inspired millions to involve themselves in philanthropic activities. A true Avatar of love and compassion, Swami’s divine presence has enlightened the mankind at a time when the world is predated with violence, adharma, hate on the basis of demography, cast, creed & religion. There are 201 Samithis and 712 Bhajan Mandalis. “Love All; Serve All”- Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba | Page No. 7 | Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation(India), Odisha Annual Report 2016-17 SRI SATHYA SAI TRUST, ODISHA The devotees in Odisha believe that the only way to experience His cosmic presence is by rendering selfless service to their less fortunate brothers and sisters through a variety of service activities planned and executed by Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization (India), Od- isha and funded by Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Odisha, a Public Charitable Trust founded by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in the year 1976 another sign of His infinite compassion for Odisha. Every rupee invested by Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Odisha is an humble offering by thousands of devotees from the State at His Lotus Feet, who taught them the invaluable lesson that, “Hands that serve are holier than the lips that pray”. The huge Sai Janani building within Unit-III premises, houses a Tele medicine Centre, free allopathic and homeopathy dispensaries, free coaching centre for slum children, Institute of Sri Sathya Sai Education(India), Bombay, East-ern Regional Centre, with class rooms, library, Computer Lab, Dining Hall, 30 bedded hostel and Guest rooms for faculty. The contributions by devotees have found shape in the construction of Sathya Sai Wom- en’s College, Bhubaneswar, Sathya Sai School , Unit III , Bhubaneswar, Seventeen other Sathya Sai Schools located in different Districts of Odisha. The eighteen schools run by the State Trust, are academically strong, providing value based quality education to the students. Initiatives have been taken for development of infrastructure. Trust has provided insurance cover of 1 lac each under Sai Surakhya Scheme to the teachers and has to spend enormous amounts to make these schools finan- cially strong. The Trust has opened a vocational training centre within the Sai Janani campus to provide multi skill training to youths from our SSSVIP villages. ORGANISATIONAL SET-UP OF SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION, ODISHA Sri Sathya Sai Seva Oraganisation has been well structured at National, State & Distict level for carrying out various service activities in line with Mission of SAI. The Year 2016-17 commemorates the 50th year of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organiza- tion, Odisha and as we look back it speaks of its humble beginning in the mid-sixties and gradual growth over the years both in volume and size with 201 Samithis and 712 Bhajan Mandalis and thousands of devotees representing every district in the State. Our Organiza- tion is acknowledged in the State as a disciplined organization committed to the teachings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and playing a significant role in the socio-economic life of the State with an undercurrent of spirituality.

Honored guests, Members of the Prasanthi Council, Delegates, Brothers and Sisters, We are most fortunate to be here, at the divine calling of the Avatar of this age. We have come not on our own will but on the Will of God Himself. We recognize that we are just actors on this stage of life, acting not out of our own will but because the ONE that is all of us is moving within each of us, playing out the role assigned to us. We believe that there is only ONE, and we ask that the ONE to lift the veil of ignorance so that we can experience and be aware of that ONE. As the Bhagavad Gita says, not even a blade of grass quivers in the wind without the ONE willing it. Everything is part of the ONE’s Song, the Universe. Uni means ONE and Verse means Song. This universe is the ONE’s song, and we are all musi- cians playing that song. What compels this belief in us? Our interactions with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the embodiment of that One. Each of us have interacted with Him in some way —some personal and some from afar, some in dreams and meditation, some dramatic and some not so dramatic. But at present they have their active participation in social, economic and spiritual activities. Among all, its role in societal development is more, because, social development leads to economic development. These two developments are like the two faces of the same coin. It means if religious institutions provide education and health facilities, it contributes to social development. In backward areas, religious institutions establish health and educational institutions even before the Government and thereby contribute to the overall development. This paper leads to study of contributions of some national level religious institutions to social development of India. It was the first international, high level meeting aimed at building collaboration and momentum between religious leaders and among religious leaders and other sectors of the response. Participants affirmed in their concluding statement the “renewed sense of urgency” to prioritize and strengthen the response to HIV. Such response includes “holistic prevention” in addition to reaching universal access to treatment, care and support. The statement called for the “respect for the dignity of every human being” as well as “a massive social mobilization” to support services for women to eliminate the transmission of HIV from mother to child. Every human being has in him the knowledge of his true form. Owing to his failure to know this stupendous fact, man pursues all kinds of worldly knowledge. All the diversity you see in creation is a manifestation of the Indivisible One. The cause is the same for both differences and oneness. All the changing entities are based upon the One that is unchanging. Creation has to be viewed as a Cosmic Stage. God is the director and dramatis personae in this play. He assigns all the roles of the characters in the play. All creatures in the world are manifestations of the Divine. The good and evil in the world are expressions of the Divine consciousness. Man should not be misled by these expressions. Behind all the various actions of the actors, the Divine director is at work. It should be realised that though names and forms may vary, languages and nationalities may be different, the human race is one in its divine essence. All are sparks of the Divine. The Lord declared in the Geetha: "All beings in the world of the living are aspects of my Eternal Self." Manifest God's love God is the embodiment of Love. Love is His nature. His love pervades the cosmos. This love is present in one and all. Just as God manifests His love in the world, everyone should manifest his love.

    1. World needs spiritual transformation THE four Purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha) are regarded in common parlance as the purposes of human life. They are given a worldly meaning. But their real meaning is spiritual. The foremost purpose of the four Purusharthas is to make man realise that his primary duty is to divinise himself (to transform himself from Man to Madhava). The word Purusha does not signify the masculine gender as is commonly assumed. It refers to the Atma, the Supreme Consciousness, which has no gender and which is immanent in all beings. Of the two terms Purusha and Prakriti, the latter represents the gross element in Nature. It refers also to the body. Purusha is the Consciousness, the Indweller in the body. The two are interdependent. The sastras have declared that the body is jada (gross) and the Atma is chaitanya (consciousness) and that the body is feminine. Every being can be considered as made up of both elements and therefore everyone irrespective of sex, is entitled to pursue the Purusharthas. The true meaning of Purusharthas Of the four Purusharthas (Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha, the first one, Dharma, is regarded in common usage as referring to actions like charity, the duties of one's ashrama (stage in life), going on pilgrimages and such other good deeds. But these relate only to external actions. The true Dharma of every human being is to make every endeavour to realise the Divine. The process by which this consummation can be reached constitutes Dharma. The observance of the duties relating to different ashramas (Brahmacharya , Grihastha, Vaanaprastha and Sanyasa) is incidental to the particular stage in life.
