Secretary's Article Luke Leonard Worshipful Master Greetings Brethren, I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. Welcome to the June Trestle Board. I’m going to get right to the point in this month’s article. Now that we are on the backside of the pandemic our Lodge is back to business and we are as busy as ever. There is so much happening in June and July at Winter Park that your officers barely have time to think. It is warp speed and we’re all doing everything we can to keep things moving forward smoothly. By the time you read this, your elected officers will be attending Grand Communication where we will be voting on the legislation that was put forth this year. If you missed our first stated meeting in May, then you missed a very informative meeting where your Bro. Senior Warden Billy Triplet, briefly went over all the legislation that is being voted on. If you missed this meeting and you are interested in learning more about Luke Leonard what is being put forth, there is information at the Lodge that you can request from the Secretary to look Worshipful Master over. I’m sure we will have an opportunity this month to discuss what passed and what was rejected. We look forward to filling you all in on what took place at our upcoming meetings. At the first stated meeting in May, I had hoped to present the Mason of the Month award for April 2021 to Bro. Ricardo Parente. Sadly, Bro. Ricardo was unable to attend Lodge that evening, but I am going to present him the award at a later meeting. For those of you who may not know, Bro. Parente works on Winter Park’s website, keeping it updated with current information and content. He also does a lot of other IT type of work for our Lodge, and I think it is important to recognize him and thank him publicly, so thank you Bro. Parente. A few important dates to keep in mind in the coming months are: St. Johns Day – June 26th – Winter Park Lodge The Grand Masters Official Visit – June 26th – Rosen Plaza Ball Room My Brothers, I can’t stress enough the importance of making your best effort to attend St. Johns Day. The St. John’s Day players have been working incredibly hard to put together an entertaining program as well as a stellar skit that we believe would not only do W:. Bro Chris Chag proud but do justice to all the wonderful programs he put together in the past. This is a huge event, not only Winter Park but for our entire District and State. PLEASE put Saturday June 26th on your calendar. 8AM breakfast, servered by OES and 9AM program start. Please plan to come out and support the Craft and you Lodge. We truly hope to see you all there. Don’t make us come looking for you. Haha. No really. Also, please remember the Chris Chag Memorial Second Harvest Food Drive. Bring with you a non-perishable food item to throw in the bin and you can help your Lodge reach the goal of raising $5000 for Second Harvest. Thank you in advance for your donations. In closing, I truly hope I get to see you at one of our stated meetings or at a masonic outing this month. As always, I hope this year brings you all health and happiness. God Bless my Brothers, and God bless the United States of America. Finally Brethren, W.•.Brother Mike Seely was installed as the Worshipful Grand Musician. What an honor it truly is to have two of our very own representing our great fraternity at the Grand Lodge level. Again, congratulations to you both and very well deserved! If there’s anything your officers can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. We look forward to seeing you at our next stated meeting... As always DO THE WORKS!!! Fraternally, Bro. Triplett aka (Silverback) June 2021 Trestle Board Page 3 My Brothers, The steward presided over the manorial court. He was not the judge, as the decisions were made by villagers acting as jurors. His role was to give weight to those decisions. The stewards of great lords were usually knights. Fast forward to present day and the stewards are still just as important to the junior Warden and the running of the lodge. Russell Anderson They are not facing dangers unless you consider the dangers of Junior Warden brother Mason's complaining about not having their special kind of creamer or that the napkins were too abrasive. Stewards are very important when preparing the meals for the craft. I have leaned heavily on there expertise and knowledge to make sure we apply the Brethren with the most nutritious and delicious meals possible. Being a steward is also one of the best ways to understand some of the work necessary to being a line officer at a masonic lodge. If you're interested in being an officer and possibly making it to the east reach out to one of your officers at your local Lodge and ask them what it takes to be considered for the position. Fraternally, Russell Anderson Reminder: The 3rd Tuesday of every month, there will be Degree Practice at 7 PM at our Lodge. Please come out and join and learn some Ritual! Are you connected? • Entered Apprentice
Grand Lodge St. Germain Pansophic Freemasons Study Curriculum for ENTERED APPRENTICE This course of study is a guide to help the applicant to prepare for Initiation as an Entered Apprentice. Before Initiation, he or she must provide brief and correct written responses to the questions found at the end of this introduction. These comprise a basic orientation to Freemasonry in general. The answers must be typed and may be submitted to the Sponsoring Master, Secretary, or other designated official of the Initiating Lodge on paper or by electronic media. They will be duly examined and graded for accuracy by the Sponsoring Master. The applicant must achieve an accuracy of at least 90% and must satisfy the Mentor that he or she has gained a correct understanding of the questions missed before being approved for Initiation. 1 Grand Lodge St. Germain Pansophic Freemasons MASONIC SYMBOLISM The symbols and ceremonies of Freemasonry have been drawn from the work of stone masonry—most especially, the building of sacred places, temples, and cathedrals. Just as in dreams all persons and events are aspects of the dreamer, so in Freemasonry you are the materials, the worker, and the Holy Temple. Most of the moral and spiritual allegories of Freemasonry concerning the “making of good people into excellent people” appear in the Entered Apprentice degree, and it has been argued that clues to all Masonic Mysteries are given in the symbolism of the First Degree. The three “Blue Lodge” or basic Masonic degrees represent the growth of a person from spiritual youth to full maturity. The Entered Apprentice represents the Masonic “youth” of anew Initiate into Masonic Mysteries—not as a beginner, for many who join the Mixed Lodge are extremely developed souls, but as one who has come newly to the Egregore and ceremonial of Freemasonry as a legitimate and valid Masonic Initiate.

  • Cos'e' La Massoneria E Chi Siamo
