FROM: THE CALIFORNIA FACULTY ASSOCIATION [email protected] - http://www.calfac.org CFA HEADLINES November 2, 2006 - SPECIAL EDITION FROM CFA ELECTION • The election is almost here, get involved now! • List of CFA endorsed candidates and initiatives * * * • THE ELECTION IS ALMOST HERE, HELP GET OUT THE VOTE! With the November 7 midterm election now only days away, CFA urges members not only to vote but also to get involved in promoting voter turnout. Many of the races for statewide office are down to the wire, with dozens more legislative seats teetering within a few points' difference. Your involvement is more important than ever. With the races so close it all comes down to turnout. By doing as little as putting in a few hours this weekend to participate in phone banking or precinct walking, you can help CFA remind voters to go to the polls come Tuesday. One of the easiest ways to help get out the vote is to contact your local Central Labor Council. To find the Central Labor Council in your area, visit http://www.calaborfed.org/about/clc.html For CFA members in the Los Angeles area, there is also a major phone banking and precinct walking effort being put on by the LA County Federation of Labor.
