    28/07/2020 (new wording) Intro Weekly COVID-19 Surveillance Report in Nottinghamshire Cumulative data from 21/02/2020 - 26/07/2020 Overview This report summarises the information from the surveillance system which is used to monitor the cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham city). The report is based on daily data up to 26 July 2020. COVID-19 cases are identified by taking specimens from people and sending these specimens to laboratories to be tested. If the test is positive, this is referred to as a lab-confirmed case. Data includes lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 from pillar 1 (NHS hospital and Public Health England laboratories) and pillar 2 (commercial partner laboratories) of the Government's testing programme. There are many factors that can contribute to the number of cases in an area. As part of local outbreak control arrangements, a team meets daily to review information about new cases to identify where further investigation or action is required. Technical details The maps presented in the report examine counts and rates of COVID-19 at Middle Super Output Area level. Middle Layer Super Output Areas are a census based geography used in the reporting of small area statistics in England and Wales. The minimum population is 5,411 and the average is 8,363. As such they are larger than electoral wards but smaller than Districts. Disclosure control rules have been applied to all figures not currently in the public domain. All counts of 1 or 2 have been suppressed.

Marina MEADOW This is a circular route which takes you through town LANE LOCK and countryside. There are three locks throughout the route that will need to be portaged. The National Water Sports Centre has a few car parks. The best one to use for this challenge is the un-surfaced car park, where the cafe and family fun park are located. When driving in, follow the signs for the white water course; the lake can be glimpsed on the right. Turn into the first un-surfaced car, which has easy access to the river down a slipway. Please check on the National Waters Sports Centre website for any major events that may be running. Introduction Objectives of the Strategy 1.1 The Greater Nottingham authorities have determined that a Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) Strategy is required to inform both the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan (Local Plan Part 1) and the development of policies and allocations within it. This strategic plan is being prepared by Broxtowe Borough Council, Gedling Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Rushcliffe Borough Council. It will also inform the Erewash Local Plan which is being progressed separately. For the purposes of this BGI Strategy the area comprises the administrative areas of: Broxtowe Borough Council; Erewash Borough Council; Gedling Borough Council; Nottingham City Council; and Rushcliffe Borough Council.

    1 Introduction Welcome to our fourth volume of ‘100 Walks from the Poppy and Pint’. This volume contains Spring Walks for you to enjoy now that the lockdown has eased. I hope that you find it useful. You will find 49 walks in this volume bringing the total number of walks in the series to 150! This volume is quite different to the other volumes. These walks have been specially selected from a wider radius of Lady Bay. This gives us more choice, more variety, and the chance to showcase different areas. Most of the walks start within 30 minutes’ drive from the Poppy and Pint and most are relatively short walks of around two to three hours. All have been chosen because they hold one or more points of interest. Moreover, the paths are quiet, they are varied, and all are on good, waymarked paths. This makes them ideal spring walks just after the lockdown. Being out on the trail in the open air anywhere lifts the spirits, is good for the soul, and gives our lives a different perspective. I think we always feel better when we come back from a walk! Do try it and see! This is the fourth volume of walks to complement Volumes One, Two and Three. Unfortunately, it is not possible to put these four volumes into one tome as the subsequent size of the file would be too big to e mail! When I set myself the challenge of researching and creating 100 local walks, I never actually thought it was possible.
