Night Seattle Night Tour We will firstly travel to Seattle Great Wheel, which is a giant Ferris wheel at Pier 57 on Elliott Bay in Seattle, Washington. With an overall height of 175 feet, it was the tallest Ferris wheel on the West Coast of the United States when it opened on June 29, 2012. Next stop is Kerry Park where visitors can have a panoramic city view of the entire Seattle. It is a perfect location for photography and if you see Space Needle with a backdrop of Mount Rainier in any marketing photos of Seattle, this is exactly where to take the pictures. In addition, the park was one of the many stops on the finale episode of the third season of Amazing Race. At the same time, we will visit Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. It is more like a modern coffee factory. You will witness the machines roasting the freshest coffee beans and grinding the most concentrated coffee powder. You can also open your mind up, order a cup of the most creative coffee, or enjoy the latest Starbucks products. Here you can also see the whole process of unsealing and baking the original coffee beans. Yellowstone National Park is one of the most stunning Wonderlands in the world. The majority of the world’s geysers are preserved here. They are the main reason the park was established in 1872 as America's first national park – an idea that spread worldwide later. Around noon, we will arrive in the Yellowstone and will show you around before go to hotel in Idaho in night. Itinerary: Missoula → Yellowstone National Park → Idaho falls Special Notes: 1. In the Yellowstone, we will visit: Dragon’s Mouth Spring (30 mins), Artist Point (30 mins), Yellowstone Falls (60 mins), West Thumb Lake and so on. Afternoon Yellowstone National Park The largest, oldest, and most famous national park displays a fascinating scenery of hot springs, geysers, canyons & waterfalls, and nature everywhere you look! The beauty is beyond the limits of human art and is the most wonderful and spectacular scenery on the surface of the earth. Yellowstone Mammoth Hot Springs Originally, there were several hot springs flowing from hillside, which was dyed by the microbes in the springs, thus performing a splendid step with multiple colors. However, due to a crustal change in 2002, most of the hot springs were no longer active. After the microbes died, they turned into grayish white powder, which remains on the dried steps, reflecting the dazzling sunlight. The barren land has changed with geographic movements, and the place used to be active could suddenly be quiet, and vice versa. Artist Point Artist Point is one of the most spectacular scenic areas in the Canyon Area of the Park. The sheer walls drop 700 feet to the bottom of the canyon. Upriver the powerful Lower Falls are still in view. Down river the canyon widens and deepens to maximum of 1,540 feet. The canyon walls are predominantly yellow but colors of blue, red, orange and brown are also present. The colors are ever changing and especially intensified when the sunshines after a rain. Upper Yellowstone Falls Located a quarter-mile upstream of the larger Lower Falls, the Upper Yellowstone River Falls plunge 109 feet down an eroded lava cliff into the basin below. The area below the falls has been subject to heavier erosion than above. Lower Yellowstone River Falls The Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River in Wyoming are the largest by volume in the Rocky Mountains of the western United States, and they stand more than 300 feet tall-- almost twice as high as Niagara Falls.

Despite its popularity, there’s no academic research about who fishes for squid, or their reasons for doing so. The squid jigging community of Seattle has been documented extensively over the last twenty years, thanks in part, to the reporting of the Seattle Times. Preliminary analysis of tertiary sources suggests that squid jigging is important to participants for a combination of cultural and recreational reasons; providing an opportunity to spend time with friends and family, a connection to nature, and access to an inexpensive food source. Squid jigging is also deeply rooted in Seattle’s fishing culture and is influenced by places around the world, including Japan, Italy, and Southeast Asia, to name just a few. Students model and graph two functions given by the location of a passenger car on a Ferris wheel as it is rotated a number of degrees about the origin from an initial reference position. Lesson Notes Students extend their work with the function that represents the height of a passenger car on a Ferris wheel from Lesson 1 to define a function that represents the horizontal displacement of the car from the center of the wheel, which is temporarily called the co-height function. In later lessons, the co-height function is related to the cosine function. Students sketch graphs of various co-height functions and notice that these graphs are nonlinear. Students explain why the graph of the co-height function is a horizontal translation of the graph of the height function and sketch graphs that model the position of a passenger car for various-sized Ferris wheels. The work in the first three lessons of Module 2 serves to ground students in circular motion and set the stage for a formal definition of the sine and cosine functions in Lessons 4 and 5. In Lesson 1, students measured the height of a passenger car of the Ferris wheel in relation to the ground and started tracking cars as passengers boarded at the bottom of the wheel.
