RADIO THOUSAND POUND THURSDAY COMPETITION SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS These competition terms and conditions should be read together with, and are in addition to, ;s standard terms and conditions which can be found at radiocarmarthenshire. (the “General Terms”). Together these specific competition terms and conditions and the General Terms shall be referred to as the “terms”.

ITEM 1: THOUSAND POUND THURSDAY (the “Competition”). COMPETITION

ITEM 2: (t/a Radio Carmarthenshire & Scarlet FM), registered PROMOTER office: St. Hilary Transmitter, Nr. St. Hilary, Cowbridge. CF71 7DP (the “Promoter”).

ITEM 4: Entrants can enter the Competition via text (see below) or via the COMPETITION Website from 12.01am on Thursday 26th May 2016 (the “Launch Time”) LAUNCH AND until 6.30pm on Thursday 26th May 2016 (the “Closing Time”). CLOSING. Any entries received before the Launch Time or after the Closing Time (for whatever reason) will be invalid.

ITEM 5: ENTRANT The Competition is open to UK and Channel Islands residents aged 16 RESTRICTIONS years or over on the date of their entry.

Employees (and their family members) of the Promoter (or any company in the same group) or any company involved in the Competition, are excluded from entering the Competition and their entries will not be considered.

Entrants must obtain permission from the bill payer before texting to enter the Competition. ITEM 6: ROUTES The Promoter will broadcast the Competition between 12.01am on and OF ENTRY AND 6.30pm on Thursday 26th May 2016. There are two ways of entering the COSTS Competition.

The first route is by texting the keyword GRAND to 85222. Entries received before the Launch Time or after the Closing Time will not be counted but may still be charged. Texts will cost £1.50 from the UK plus the entrant’s standard network message charge. Entrants will receive a bounce back message to confirm entry. If an entrant texts a second time from the same mobile number (at a further cost of £1.50 plus their standard network message charge) they will automatically be entered into the draw a 3rd time free of charge. Participants may enter the Competition more than once, but will be restricted by a maximum cost to the entrant of £18 plus their standard network message charges. Once this maximum has been reached the entrant will not be able to enter the Competition again.

The second route is via the station Website. Entries received before the Launch Time or after the Closing Time will not be counted. On-line entry is free. Participants may enter the Competition more than once on-line but will be restricted by a maximum of 18 entries. Once this maximum has been reached the entrant will not be able to enter the Competition from the same email address again.

The Promoter is part of the Nation Broadcasting group of radio stations. The competition will be promoted across some of the group’s radio stations - these are Nation Radio, Bay Radio, 106.3 Bridge FM, Radio , 102.5 Radio and Radio Carmarthenshire. There is only one prize across this group of radio stations for this competition.

ITEM 7: DRAW The winner will be chosen by electronic random draw from all entrants DETAILS who successfully texted in the keyword GRAND or entered on-line within the stated contesting time.

An entrant will only become a winner if they are confirmed during a conversation with the promoter’s representative as the winner. ITEM 8: WINNER The winner will be announced on each of the radio group’s breakfast ANNOUNCEMENT shows on Friday 27th May 2016. However the promoter is not responsible for the late announcement of a winner due to any mobile network or any technical issues associated with the promoter or any third parties.

The winner must aim to be contactable between 6.30pm and 10pm following the competition closure at 6.30pm on Thursday 26th May 2016. The Promoter will record and broadcast a call to the winner. The name and the home town of the Winner may be posted on the Promoter’s website and announced on-air.

ITEM 9: PRIZE A single prize consisting of £1,000 will be awarded to the winner subject DETAILS to the winner complying with all the terms and conditions applicable to the Competition:

The prize will be awarded after the winner has provided a valid photo ID and proof of address.

ITEM 10: DATA Entrants’ personal data (which can include telephone numbers and PROETCTION addresses) will be collected by the Promoter. By entering the Competition, participants consent to the storage and processing of their personal data as described here, which shall be strictly in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation.

Personal data may remain stored by the Promoter after the Competition has ended.

By entering this competition the entrant may receive future marketing messages from us. To opt out of future marketing, text the keyword TCBSTOP to 85222.

ITEM 11: Entrants consent to their voice being used on the Promoter’s radio INTELLECTUAL broadcasts and to a copy of this broadcast (the “Recording”) being stored PROPERTY AND by the Promoter for exploitation in any and all media for promotional or CONSENTS other purposes.

To the extent possible, entrants agree to assign to the Promoter the title to any intellectual property rights or interest that they may have in the Recording. ITEM 12: OTHER Only entries received in accordance with these Terms will be accepted. CONDITIONS The Promoter has the right to disqualify participants if it reasonably believes participants have breached any of the Terms.

If there is any misunderstanding, mistake or dispute concerning the operation of the Competition, including the operation of any technical or communications system, the Promoter’s decision shall be final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into on this subject.

The Promoter has no responsibility or liability if participants fail to get through when they text to enter.

The Promoter is not responsible for any costs associated with entering the Competition, including texting or accessing the Website.

Whilst participants are on-air, they promise not to make any statement which (in the Promoter’s sole and reasonable discretion) is inappropriate or which would be likely to bring the Promoter into disrepute.

Other than for death or personal injury resulting from its negligence and so far as is permitted by law, the Promoter hereby excludes all liability for any loss, damage, cost and expense, whether direct or indirect, howsoever caused in connection with the Competition or any aspect of the Prizes.

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this Competition if it is required to do so due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.
