Chaque membre de votre équipe devra choisir 3 chansons qui, selon vous, seraient importantes voire impératives de mettre sur un disque d’or plus moderne. Vous pouvez quand même revisiter toutes les musiques que vous souhaitez, mais ajoutez un peu de modernisme et un peu de vous dans ce travail. Par contre, je ne veux pas voir uniquement les hits (tubes) de la dernière année. Faites des recherches, questionnez vos parents, allez sur des sites comme Wikipédia, Bilboard.com, etc. pour avoir une bonne idée de chansons qui ont été importantes dans l’histoire de l’humanité. N.B. ceci est un travail de recherche, je m’attends à ce que ce soit bien fait! Chacun des membres devra ensuite présenter ses 3 chansons devant la classe à l’aide d’un support sonore tel un fichier mp3 au minimum, ou faire une présentation sur Powerpoint ou Prezi en y insérant vos liens Youtube ou d’autres sites. Je vous suggère cependant fortement de choisir vos chansons en équipe de façon à avoir une présentation mieux étoffée et équilibrée. 9 chansons plutôt que 3x3 chansons.     Interstellar Music - by Mike Overly Let's imagine that you could toss a message in a bottle faster than a speeding bullet into the cosmic ocean of outer space. What would you seal inside it for anyone, or anything, to open some day in the distant future, in a galaxy far, far away from our solar system? Well, imagine no more because it's been done! Thirty-five years ago, NASA launched two Voyager spacecraft carrying earthly images and sounds toward the Stars. Voyager 1 was launched on September 5, 1977, from Cape Canaveral, Florida and Voyager 2 was sent on its way August 20 of that same year. Voyager 1 is now 11 billion miles away from earth and is the most distant of all human-made objects. Everyday, it flies another million miles farther. In fact, Voyager 1 and 2 are so far out in space that their radio signals, traveling at the speed of light, take 16 hours to reach Earth. These radio signals are captured daily by the big dish antennas of the Deep Space Network and arrive at a strength of less than one femtowatt, a millionth of a billionth of a watt. Wow! Both Voyagers are headed towards the outer boundary of the solar system, known as the heliopause. This is the region where the Sun's influence wanes and interstellar space waxes. Also, the heliopause is where the million-mile-per-hour solar winds slow down to about 250,000 miles per hour. The Voyagers have reached these solar winds, also known as termination shock, and should cross the heliopause in another 10 to 20 years.

Blato Zlato's second music video, Izlel e Delyo Haidutin, will be publicly released on Monday, October 2, through their website, YouTube channel, and social media channels. The song is a reinterpretation of the iconic Bulgarian folk song that was made famous by Valya Balkanska and included on the Voyager golden record launched aboard NASA’s Voyager Spacecrafts 1 and 2 in 1977. The video is part of the upcoming documentary series, “Golden Tracks,” which follows the 27 songs of world music included on the golden record. Blato Zlato was asked to reinterpret this iconic song for the “Golden Tracks” documentary project. The video was filmed on the Mississippi River and features space imagery as well as a progressive arrangement of a traditional tune: whereas Izlel e Delyo Haidutin is traditionally performed rubato with a solo voice over the Bulgarian bagpipes (gaida), Blato Zlato’s original arrangement begins by mirroring the traditional arrangement and then transforms into an 7/8 arrangement with three-part harmony vocals and jazz-influenced chordal structure. “This song is one of Bulgaria’s greatest national treasures,” says drummer Boyanna Trayanova, who calls Bulgaria and New Orleans both home. “It is a source of national pride for my people that it was included on the Voyager record.

Depuis sa création en 1980 par une équipe de bénévoles passionnés, le Festival d’Ambronay joue avec le temps comme un musicien avec le tempo, l’étire, le presse, le module… À chaque édition, sa programmation remonte le temps à la rencontre des compositeurs et des chefs-d’œuvre intemporels, elle l’explore à la recherche d’œuvres inédites, s’en amuse en créant des passerelles entre des musiques d’époques et de genres différents, le jalonne en découvrant et en accompagnant les talents que recèle chaque génération. En 40 ans, quatre générations de musiciens et d’ensembles ont fait les belles heures d’un Festival devenu un moment incontournable du paysage international de la musique ancienne. Il était bien sûr impossible de les inviter tous à célébrer avec nous cette édition anniversaire et les choix ont été difficiles.

The repertory in Italian tablature is the one that has fewest overlaps with the French repertory and the tablatures themselves have little in common beyond their six-line system. Since German tablature was becoming more and more unwieldy, most Germanic lute publications and manuscripts from the end of the sixteenth century on used French tablature: it also broadened the market to include most of Europe. Melchior Newsidler attempted to introduce Italian tablature in Germany with his two 1566 publications, Il primo libro intabolatura di liuto di Melchior Neysidler… and Il secondo libro intabolatura di liuto di Melchior Neysidler…, but the project appears to have been unsuccessful, as he re-issued the two books as one in German tablature, Tabulatura continens praestantissimas et selectissimas quasque cantiones, in usum Testudinis, à Melchiore Neusydler…, in 1573.
