Invite a friend to come with you to the Welcome Luncheon on Sunday, October 2, after the 10:45am service. Here’s what one recent attendee said about how a Welcome Luncheon helped him begin to get plugged into EGC. “My wife, Cristina and I really enjoyed the Welcome Luncheon we attended. We felt it was professionally put together while at the same time being relaxed and welcoming. We had come from a church on the West Coast and really hoped to find a church that we enjoyed as much as the one we left and felt we found that church here. After attending the Luncheon, we started attending the Journey classes. We also found the classes to be well put together, but relaxed at the same time. One of the things that has really stood out to us here at EGC is that we are not made to feel inadequate or “not quite getting it.” Rather, we are welcomed to investigate various aspects of the church and plug in to serve where we feel we can best be involved. Using the military as an illustration, it’s my opinion that a person who freely “enlists” enjoys the service far more than the one who is “drafted.” I believe I have been given the opportunity to enlist here at EGC.” – Larry Keifer
