If you read some of the FBI files, Maxwell appears to have sometimes pretended to Americans that he was British-born and implied that he was a British spy, rather than a Soviet one. A few of the FBI pages on Robert Maxwell, found below, point to an East and West German nexus, which could easily tie together old Nazis, East German Stasi agents, Soviet KGB agents, former US OSS agents-CIA agents, and black-market criminals-mafia. Recall that the Stasi card of KGB agent Putin was recently found. Although the Soviet Union cut deals and a non-aggression pact with the Nazis, they switched to the allied side, toward the end of World War II, after they were doubled-crossed by Hitler. However, some people stayed on the Soviet side, while remaining in the west. From Czechoslovakia, Robert Maxwell could have been such a person. Nonetheless, based on the FBI file, it appears that he may have done so for monetary gain. The head of Nord Stream is a former Stasi agent, friend of Putin, Mahias Warnig. He also serves on the board of Rosneft. Nonetheless, he was probably hired by Donald Barr. It is possible that he was hired to replace Donald Barr, in some way. According to papers released by the British Foreign Office in 2003, British intel officers suspected that Maxwell was a Russian (Soviet) agent. His file at the UK National Archives is entitled “Captain Ian Maxwell“. In it are reports from the Information Research Department (IRD), which say that Maxwell is “a thoroughly bad character and almost certainly financed by Russia“. The dossier includes correspondence indicating that shortly after World War II, he was already considered a “suspicious figure“, when he worked for the allied British Control Commission in Berlin. In 1959, Digby Ackland, of the Information Research Department stated that “Capt Maxwell’s questionable activities have been brought to the notice of the Foreign Office on several occasions over the past 10 years“. Later in life, Robert Maxwell appears connected to Chabad-Lubavitch and helped to send Chernobyl area Jewish children to Israel. One of Maxwell’s last calls before he was found dead in November 5, 1991 was from Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Faizish Vogel. Maxwell was trying to get a collection of Chabad Lubavitch books released from the Moscow. There had been allegations of his being a Mossad agent, too: hps://archive.li/BvPK4. But, an overlooked possibility is his working for “Nativ”, which has been sometimes described as a sort of Mossad for Soviet Jews. Chabad reportedly worked with “Nativ”. It has been alleged that Chabad houses serve as Mossad houses, as well. Jeff Epstein grew up in Sea Gate gated community on Coney Island, across from what is now, and probably was, a Chabad Lubavitch synagogue.

I would love to read and continuation from the orange revolution to the present day euro maidan protests for continued independence. Apr 16, Ariel rated it it was amazing. It is about making a moral choice, about wanting a decent country and being a decent person. I did find some of the references tedious and I was chagrined at some of the flagrant typos--the editing was not good. There is a lot of meat in this book. I also found distant relatives with whom I'm establishing a relationship. Great book for fans of history soaked travel writing as well. Will ship within 4 business days of receiving cleared payment. It is recounted by someone who knows Ukraine from within, having resided there as a correspondent, who travelled east and west, and very well documented. Contact seller. Also important, Ukraine was the politically most priviledged republic after the Russians in the Soviet Union. This is Ukraine in easily digestible pieces. There were a few parts where subsequent events have outpaced the book, most notably as it concerns the Crimea and eastern Ukraine, but I think the book as a whole is still useful.

For an entire postwar generation, “National Security” meant protection from nuclear attack. On that day, Americans redefined that threat. On September 11, 2001 three hijacked airliners hit three separate buildings with such precision and skill that many observers believe those flights were controlled by something other than the poorly trained hijackers in the cockpits. This report contends that not only were the buildings targets, but that specific offices within each building were the designated targets. These offices unknowingly held information which if exposed, subsequently would expose a national security secret of unimaginable magnitude. Protecting that secret was the motivation for the September 11 th attacks. This report is about that national security secret: its origins and impact. The intent of the report is to provide a context for understanding the events of September 11 th rather than to define exactly what happened that day. Initially, it is difficult to see a pattern to the destruction of September 11 th other than the total destruction of the World Trade Center, a segment of the Pentagon, four commercial aircraft and the loss of 2,993 lives. However, if the perceived objective of the attack is re-defined from its commonly suggested ‘symbolic’ designation as either ‘a terrorist attack’ or a ‘new Pearl Harbor,’ and one begins by looking at it as purely a crime with specific objectives (as opposed to a political action), there is a compelling logic to the pattern of destruction.

In early 2018, I launched my news & political commentary and research Vlog (also referred to as a “Video-Log,” or “Vlog”) to social media video platforms after MANY years of thinking about doing so. My purpose was that I had a LOT of information that I needed to get out to whomever would listen. I needed to have a paper trail of why I was saying what I was saying. And the most important thing for myself was to stay centered on the task at hand... The Following is an ongoing story... On July 2, 2020 at her luxurious, remote 156-acre compound in Bradford, New Hampshire, The FBI broke through Ghislaine Maxwell’s locked gate. Agents then began identifying themselves as they approached her dwelling, at which time they could see Ghislaine looking at them through a window, which is when they asked her to open the door. She ignored their orders and tried to flee and was consequentially arrested and taken into custody. Maxwell was transferred to a federal detention facility in Brooklyn (USA) on July 6 and on July 14 she made a “virtual” (by camera) court appearance.

According to Christensen (2002), “Companies stumble for many reasons, of course, among them bureaucracy, arrogance, tired executive blood, poor planning, short-term investment horizons, inadequate skills and resources, and just plain bad luck” (p. xi). But this paper is not about the failure of such companies caused by such weaknesses. It is about companies which were regarded as well managed and competitive (perhaps too competitive) till they suddenly failed; companies which were much admired by the stock market, analysts, investors and shareholders, companies which came to be widely acknowledged for their business models, companies which were led by men and women whose examples people were asked to emulate till it was discovered that they had feet of clay. Corporate governance with the trappings of rules, regulations, procedures, legal systems, ethics, culture, and ethos is like a harness which can help drive a company on a sustainable growth path, without which the growth of a company can often become illusively spectacular only to end in business disruption, financial depravation and devastation. The BCCI was incorporated in Luxembourg with head offi ces in Karachi and London. The bank primarily focused on serving Muslim and third-world cli- ents. The quadrupling of oil prices in 1973-74 led to huge deposits by Arab oil producers. As a result BCCI expanded rapidly in the 1970s. BCCI also acquired parallel banks through acquisitions. BCCI entered the african markets in 1979, and asia in the early 1980s. BCCi was among the fi rst foreign banks awarded a license to operate in the Chinese Special Economic Zone of Shenzhen.
