V VI Figur 1 "There will be no miracles here" av den skotske kunstneren Nathan Coley. Skulpturen var plassert utenfor The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art under innspillingen av Antiques Roadshow på samme sted, sommeren 2013. VII Forord Takk til veileder Arne Bugge Amundsen for gode innspill underveis i arbeidet med oppgaven. -

We are also busy planning our Summer Action Auction, our LIVE! on CET Reimagined event (details coming in the next issue of this magazine!) and more. We are getting 2021 off to a great start and we hope you are too. To support our community’s young learners, we started airing Let’s Learn, a new hour-long daytime program featuring instruction by educators and virtual field trips for kids ages 3 to 8, especially those learning at home. SOITA also continued to offer a robust schedule of educator-and-student-focused workshops, including new age-specific courses about Google Classroom. We are also creating new videos as part of American Graduate: Getting to Work. In the production space, we are continuing to produce new episodes of The Art Show and SHOWCASE with Barbara Kellar and, as I write this, we are working to build a new remote-interview set-up in our studios, which we can continue to use well after the pandemic has ended. -

On Tuesday, June 25, BAMcinemaFest presents the New York premiere of Peaches Does Herself, starring the cult synth-punk musician and performance artist, on the Steinberg Screen at the BAM Harvey Theater. Known for her audaciously foul-mouthed lyrics and gender-bending persona (as well as high-profile collaborations with everyone from Iggy Pop to Christina Aguilera), the Canadian electroclash star directs herself in this no-holds-barred rock opera, which tells the loosely autobiographical tale of her rise to stardom and romance that ends in heartbreak. This filmed version of her epic stage performance in Berlin bursts with nudity, pink underwear, and shocking cameos by stripper Sandy Kane and transsexual porn star Dannii Daniels, bringing Peaches’ unique brand of post-feminist, shock-rock cabaret to shameless cinematic life. -

TV & RADIO LISTINGS GUIDE JANUARY 2021 PRIMETIME For more information go to witf.org/tv Last month we presented an encore of Sanditon. There is not a new season to • share with you this month, which reminds me of a call I • took from a viewer recently. The viewer was disappointed by the news that recent series on Masterpiece would not be returning for a second season, with Beecham House being another example of this scenario. PBS and Masterpiece sign on to series in development early on. This mostly out of necessity because of the highly competi- tive market to acquire quality dramas and mysteries. In most cases, these series premiere across the pond ahead of the planned broadcast here. This month on Masterpiece we welcome a remake. All Creatures Great and Small begins January 10. The series is based on the books of James Alfred Wight, published under the pen name James Herriot. This is not the first JAN. 10 • 9pm adaptation that has broadcast on WITF. About the Production
Alliance Communications presents a Redeemable Features Production a film by everyone who worked on it 94 Minutes Rated PG-13 A Redeemable Features Release Press Contact: Jeremy Walker Jeremy Walker Associates (212) 595-6161 Page 2 SYNOPSIS "All I Wanna Do" is a comedy about a closely-knit group of friends set at a traditional New England all-girls boarding school in 1963. But at its core, "All I Wanna Do" is also the story of young women who recognize their own value and potential when their all- female sanctuary becomes threatened by the specter of men. The film was written and directed by Sarah Kernochan, an established screenwriter making her feature directorial debut. For Odie (Gaby Hoffmann), a pretty but moody teenager, being sent to Miss Godard's Prep School for Girls midway through the year is a little bit like being sent to prison. Miss Godard's has all kinds of rules, and a lot is expected of the girls there. But Odie soon discovers that the girls at Miss Godard's also have a lot of fun, and most important, the school is something of a haven where girls can behave, well, just like girls since there are no boys in sight. After a tour of the campus guided by Abby (Rachael Leigh Cook), an uptight, brown- nosing "monitor" on the Self-Government Committee, Odie just wants to cry. But things start looking up when Odie meets her new roommates, Verena (Kirsten Dunst) and Tinka (Monica Keena). Verena is a schemer who likes to break the rules. -

The Antiques Roadshow to Be Sold at Christie’S London on 8 July, 2014
PRESS RELEASE | LONDON FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, 30 May 2014 VAN DYCK HEAD STUDY RECENTLY REDISCOVERED ON THE ANTIQUES ROADSHOW TO BE SOLD AT CHRISTIE’S LONDON ON 8 JULY, 2014 London – Christie’s is pleased to announce that a striking head study by Sir Anthony van Dyck (1599-1641), which was recently re-discovered on the BBC television progamme The Antiques Roadshow, will be offered at Christie’s Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, on Tuesday 8 July (estimate: £300,000-500,000, illustrated above). This work is a preparatory sketch for van Dyck’s full-length group portrait of The Magistrates of Brussels, which was painted in Brussels in 1634-35, when the artist was at the height of his powers. The painting was bought 12 years ago by Father Jamie MacLeod from an antiques shop in Cheshire for just £400. The proceeds of the sale will go towards the acquisition of new church bells for Whaley Hall Ecumenical Retreat House in Derbyshire to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War. This work will be exhibited for the first time ahead of the sale when it goes on free public view at Christie’s New York on 31 May to 3 June; it will also be on view in London ahead of the sale, on 5 to 8 July. The sketch was largely obscured by later over-paint and, as a result, had been overlooked by van Dyck scholars. Recent cleaning and restoration of the picture has revealed a swiftly executed head study entirely consistent with three other known sketches for the Magistrates of Brussels picture, a work that hung in the Brussels Town Hall until it was destroyed during the French bombardment of the city in 1695.
