Credits: director/writer, Werner Herzog. Cast: Christian Bale, Steve Zahn, Jeremy Davies, Marshall Bell. Summary: War/action film set in Laos in the 1960s. Follows the real-life story of U.S. fighter pilot Dieter Dengler (Bale), a German-American shot down and captured in Laos during the Vietnam War. Dengler then organized the successful escape of a small band of POWs.
