Ian Hoare and Roger Allen gave feedback as to how the proposed Wyvern League would be established. It will consist of step 4 and above clubs (7-9 so far), Wessex league clubs and possibly Hampshire Premier League clubs. Dependant on numbers this will establish a Premier league and 1 or 2 leagues on a regional or geographical basis. There were still a number of constitutional issues that needed to be addressed but it was indicated by 22 to 5 that there was an interest in this being a way forward. It was agreed that the steering committee would now write to all Wessex league clubs to establish their individual interest and discussions would continue. Due to the sudden deterioration in the weather the League took an early decision to consult with officers and postpone all League football for the Saturday (4th December). This was to alleviate referees having to struggle to grounds to make individual decisions and having a very patchy programme throughout the league. This meant the League were able to start rearranging matches as early as Thursday. It was hoped that this would be an isolated weather experience and not an indication of what we may expect when winter finally arrives. The League were examining all the aspects of the 25th celebration of the league’s existence and in particular the dinner dance on the 21st May. This would prove to be an opportunity for clubs and sponsors to be recognised for past and present contributions. This would be an opportunity for clubs (and Sponsors) to be recognised for past and present contributions. Any ideas that you may have were directed to Ray Murphy, Ian Hoare or Nick Spencer. • Character of Area Study
Watford Character of Area Study Adopted December 2011 0B1.0 Introduction The Borough of Watford is a well established urban centre in West Hertfordshire that contains a diverse patchwork of areas reflecting different types of built form. These character areas provide the spatial framework for local neighbourhoods and reflect the multifunctional nature of the town as a location for employment, leisure, study and residential provision. Although these areas provide a network of urban form, rich in “place identity”, they remain at risk of degradation from the pressures of new development. There is therefore a need to identify the Borough’s existing character areas and to provide a reference for guiding contextually responsive development that reinforces local character. 2.0 Urban Conservation Strategy 2.1 The need for a comprehensive study identifying character areas within the Borough was set out in the Council’s Urban Conservation Strategy, as detailed in the Watford District Plan 2000 (adopted 2003). The Urban Conservation Strategy sets out to deliver a package of different documents covering the various heritage assets within the town, including: conservation areas, Statutory Listed Buildings, Locally Listed Buildings and archaeology. The Character of the Area Study provides an overarching resource on urban form for the whole Borough and not just areas or buildings that are designated as heritage assets and referred to in the District Plan and the Urban Conservation Strategy. 2.2 The Watford District Plan 2000 and the related Supplementary Planning Guidance Note 28 (adopted 2003) includes information on Historic Environment Character Zones in Watford. This map based resource provides general information on the historical character zones that exist within the Borough and their archaeological potential.

It’s always exciting to write, most of all about the Shots – I have improved greatly since last time out. Being encouraged by several personnel and supporters alike, that was the first step to an improvement in my writing and overall, how I approach different projects. I must therefore thank (not least using the Role of Thanks on the following page), but here and for most in advance; here. I have been supporting the Shots for roughly nine years now – I know it’s a short time but I cannot describe my passion and love for Aldershot Town Football Club.

The Tons kick off the 2021-22 challenge with a 1-0 win against ESL club challengers, Hoddesdon Town FC, in the Extra Preliminary Round. Today we play AFC Dunstable CO WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL CLAPTON FOOTBALL CLUB OFFICIAL HOME OF THE “TONS” Good afternoon and welcome to The Terence McMillan Stadium for our FA Cup Preliminary Qualifying Round match against AFC Dunstable. We extend a warm welcome to their players, officials and supporters and we hope you enjoy their time with us. AFC Dunstable plays in the Southern League Central Division, which is a step above us - so we need to be on our game today. I quickly realised that we were playing a bigger club when they contacted us and said they were bringing 10 committee members and will there be room to park their coach. That's the great thing about the FA Cup - smaller clubs getting home draws against bigger ones. I'm writing these notes after a late night in Harwich, where we beat Little Oakley 5-3, giving us 3 valuable league points, oh, what mood swings I'm having already this season! After our home defeat on Saturday against St Margaretsbury, we were all so low.

They were the first football club in the country to be formed as a Community Interest Company and won promotion from the Kent County League Division II (East) in their first season. They followed this by securing promotion to the Premier division in 2010/11 season after an unbeaten run and winning the Les Leckie Cup. As a community based club, we run several sides including Youths, Girls’, Disability and Walking Football. Although for some fifty years there were various versions of a City club, it was not until 1947 that a truly representative one came about. For many years they played in the Kent League, the Southern League, and the Metropolitan League which they joined in 1958, finishing third and guaranteeing promotion to the Southern League Division One. During the 1960s City twice reached the first round of the FA Cup.
