  • Earth-11 Jumpchain Yes, This Is Just for Waifus
Earth-11 Jumpchain Yes, this is just for waifus This is a world of superhumans and aliens, one that may seem very familiar at first. However, this isn’t the normal world of DC Comics. No, this is one of its parallel dimensions, one where everybody is an opposite-gender reflection of their mainline counterparts. It’s largely the same besides that one difference, so the events that happened in the primary universe are likely to have happened here as well. The battle between good and evil continues on as it always does, on Earth, in space, and in other dimensions. Superwoman, Batwoman, Wonder Man, and the rest of the Justice League fight to protect the Earth from both from it’s own internal crime and corruption and from extraterrestrial threats. The Guardians of the Universe head the Green Lantern Corps to police the 3800 sectors of outer space, of which Kylie Rayner is one of the premier members. On New Genesis and Apokolips in the Fourth World, Highmother and Darkseid, the Black Queen vie for power, never quite breaking from their ancient stalemate. You receive 1000 CP to make your place in this world. You can purchase special abilities, equipment, superpowers, and friends to help you out on your adventures. Continuity You can start at any date within your chosen continuity. Golden Age The original timeline, beginning in 1938 with the first adventure of Superwoman. Before long she was joined by Batwoman, Wonder Man, and the Justice Society of America. The JSA is the primary superhero team of this Earth, comprised of the Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkwoman, Dr.

  • Why No Wonder Woman?
Why No Wonder Woman? A REPORT ON THE HISTORY OF WONDER WOMAN AND A CALL TO ACTION!! Created for Wonder Woman Fans Everywhere Introduction by Jacki Zehner with Report Written by Laura Moore April 15th, 2013 Wonder Woman - p. 2 April 15th, 2013 AN INTRODUCTION AND FRAMING “The destiny of the world is determined less by battles that are lost and won than by the stories it loves and believes in” – Harold Goddard. I believe in the story of Wonder Woman. I always have. Not the literal baby being made from clay story, but the metaphorical one. I believe in a story where a woman is the hero and not the victim. I believe in a story where a woman is strong and not weak. Where a woman can fall in love with a man, but she doesnʼt need a man. Where a woman can stand on her own two feet. And above all else, I believe in a story where a woman has superpowers that she uses to help others, and yes, I believe that a woman can help save the world. “Wonder Woman was created as a distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to ʻa world torn by the hatred of men.ʼ”1 While the story of Wonder Woman began back in 1941, I did not discover her until much later, and my introduction didnʼt come at the hands of comic books. Instead, when I was a little girl I used to watch the television show starring Lynda Carter, and the animated television series, Super Friends.

SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE) PDF Michael Kogge | 144 pages | 16 Feb 2016 | Scholastic Inc. | 9780545916301 | English | United States Cross Fire: An Original Companion Novel of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – DC Comics Movie It was released on February 16, After saving Metropolis from an alien invasion, Superman is now famous around the world. Meanwhile Gotham City 's own guardian, Batman, would rather fight crime from the shadows. But when the devious Doctor Aesop escapes from Arkham Asylumthe two very different heroes begin investigating the same case and a young boy is caught in the cross fire. The book also includes a full-color insert with images from the feature film. Two weeks after the Battle of Metropolisschoolboy Rory Greeley has been searching for his mother, who has been missing since the Black Zero Event. Instead of informing the authorities of this, he has for the past two weeks been working on a remote controlled drone to search the rubble for her. Superman has been assisting rescue workers by clearing rubble and rescuing trapped civilians since General Zod was defeated. Also a telethon run by the Metropolis News Network is happening that night, to raise money for Cross Fire: An Original Companion Novel (Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice) victims of the attack and help with rebuilding the city. Since the attack, criminals had moved from Metropolis to Gotham out of fear for their lives. Bruce was going to the telethon that night, hoping to raise money for the victims of the event.

  • What's Your Kryptonite
BUCYRUS UNITED METHODIST CHURCH August 26, 2018 “WHAT’S YOUR KRYPTONITE” Pastor Mike Corwin TEXT: HEBREWS 12:1-3 GOD’S WORD: COLOSSIANS 3:1-11 I – SUPERMAN: Most of you, my age or older, will remember hearing on the radio or the TV – “faster than a speeding bullet…more powerful than a locomotive…able to leap tall buildings in a single bound…Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane!...It’s superman! And then we knew it was time to sit down to listen or to watch the latest episode of the superhero Superman. He was created by the minds of men in Cleveland, Ohio and made his debut in Action Comics #1 on April 18, 1938 and he has entertained us and amazed generations of people ever since. How could you not like a man who came to earth to avoid destruction, was stronger than any human being, could fly, think faster, run faster, freeze things with his breath, and on top of it all had x-ray vision. He could do anything, especially what we couldn’t. I know he was sometimes given a darker side in the modern movies, but not in the original shows. He was truly a hero who watched over and protected the people of this planet. He was invincible and could not be defeated. He had no weaknesses…except one. Kryptonite! Kryptonite was the radioactive element from his home planet of Krypton. When he got close to its ore form he was sapped of all his strength and super powers.

Some entries have been removed, added, or modified to better fit this format. The DC universe is long and storied one, in more ways than one. It’s a universe filled with adventure around every corner, not least among them on Earth, an unassuming but cosmically significant planet out of the way of most space territories. Heroes and villains, from the bottom of the Dark Multiverse to the top of the Monitor Sphere, endlessly struggle for justice, for power, and for control over the fate of the very multiverse itself. You start with 1000 Cape Points (CP). Discounted options are 50% off. Discounts only apply once per purchase. Free options are not mandatory. Continuity === === === === === Continuity doesn't change during your time here, since each continuity has a past and a future unconnected to the Crises. If you're in Post-Crisis you'll blow right through 2011 instead of seeing Flashpoint. This changes if you take the relevant scenarios. You can choose your starting date. Early Golden Age (eGA) Default Start Date: 1939 The original timeline, the one where it all began. Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound, while other characters like Batman, Dr. Occult, and Sandman have just debuted in their respective cities. This continuity occurred in the late 1930s, and takes place in a single universe.

TRUTH, JUSTICE, AND THE AMERICAN WAY: WHAT SUPERMAN TEACHES US ABOUT THE AMERICAN DREAM AND CHANGING VALUES WITHIN THE UNITED STATES Lauren N. Karp AN ABSTRACT OF THE THESIS OF Lauren N. Karp for the degree of Master of Arts in English presented on June 4, 2009 . Title: Truth, Justice, and the American Way: What Superman Teaches Us about the American Dream and Changing Values within the United States Abstract approved: ____________________________________________________________________ Evan Gottlieb This thesis is a study of the changes in the cultural definition of the American Dream. I have chosen to use Superman comics, from 1938 to the present day, as litmus tests for how we have societally interpreted our ideas of “success” and the “American Way.” This work is primarily a study in culture and social changes, using close reading of comic books to supply evidence. I argue that we can find three distinct periods where the definition of the American Dream has changed significantly—and the identity of Superman with it. I also hypothesize that we are entering an era with an entirely new definition of the American Dream, and thus Superman must similarly change to meet this new definition. Truth, Justice, and the American Way: What Superman Teaches Us about the American Dream and Changing Values within the United States by Lauren N. ABSTRACT Comics are an integral aspect of America's development and culture. The comics have chronicled historical milestones, determined fashion and shaped the way society viewed events and issues. They also offered entertainment and escape. The comics were particularly effective in providing heroes for Americans of all ages. One of those heroes -- or more accurately, superheroes -- is the Batman. A crime-fighting, masked avenger, the Batman was one of few comic characters that survived more than a half-century of changes in the country. Unlike his counterpart and rival -- Superman -- the Batman's popularity has been attributed to his embodiment of human qualities. Thus, as a hero, the Batman says something about the culture for which he is an ideal. The character's longevity and the alterations he endured offer a glimpse into the society that invoked the transformations.

PATRY, PATRY ON COPYRIGHT 22 § 7:52 (2007). 23 In the present case, Joanne Siegel and Laura Siegel Larson, the widow and 24 the daughter of Jerome Siegel, seek a declaration from the Court that they have 25 overcome these odds and have successfully terminated the 1938 grant by Jerome 26 Siegel and his creative partner, Joseph Shuster, of the copyright in their creation of 27 the iconic comic book superhero “Superman,” thereby recapturing Jerome Siegel’s 28 half of the copyright in the same. No small feat indeed. It requires traversing the 1 many impediments — many requiring a detailed historical understanding both 2 factually and legally of the events that occurred between the parties over the past 3 seventy years — to achieving that goal and, just as importantly, reckoning with the 4 limits of what can be gained through the termination of that grant.

The blistering heat felt like an extra ten pounds of weight pressing down on every cell in my body, and I found myself scrambling for some kind of water. Mercifully, I found a backpack and a full canteen on my person. Problem is, I don't remember getting these. Or a motorcycle, for that matter. I checked my phone. No reception, and the battery is nearly dead. The time read 7:03 PM. The sun was bearing down on me from directly above. To say I was panicking would be an understatement...but I had enough sense to know that screaming into the abyss while in the desert on high noon is probably a bad idea. I wonder if this motorcycle is all-terrain? Never rode one before. Okay, I can safely say it is not all-terrain and I am very bad at driving motorcycles. It's like riding an angry bicycle with serious childhood trauma. Still, it's slightly faster than walking so I try to roll along with it.
