Prior to joining One Love, Hood was Chief Executive Officer at the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, where for nine years she worked to drive research progress toward a cure. She also worked as a philanthropic consultant and served as a visiting lecturer at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Before discovering her passion for philanthropy, she held positions at both Goldman Sachs and Bain & Company. A dynamic speaker and frequent panelist, Hood has appeared at Aspen Ideas: Health, Milken Global Conference, Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Conference and The Nantucket Project. Her 2019 TED talk, “The Difference between Healthy and Unhealthy Love,” captured more than 8 million views. Hood received her bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives outside of New York City with her husband, four children, and two dogs. 6 Alumni Citation Recipient Christine Lincoln ’00 CHRISTINE LINCOLN is an internationally award- winning author and motivational speaker. Her stories have appeared on stage at Symphony Space and Word Theatre, read and performed by Don Cheadle, Gary Dourdan, and Lizan Mitchell. Her short stories have appeared in various literary journals such as Pleiades Magazine and the Paris Review. Lincoln is Poet Laureate Emeritus of York Pennsylvania. During her service to the City of York she created a writing group at a local domestic violence safehouse where she helped survivors of trauma and abuse explore poetry as a means to healing. She also created “Writers Voice,” a monthly column for the York Daily Record that featured emerging writers and visual artists throughout South Central Pennsylvania. Christine has traveled throughout the United States and the world, including South Africa where she was the first author to represent the United States in South Africa’s annual Year of the Writer Celebration. She has appeared on NPR, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and has been featured as a “Phenomenal Woman” in O: The Oprah Magazine. Lincoln’s life motto is this: you only have this one wild beautiful life, so live it like you mean it. Currently, Lincoln divides her time between Ghana, Africa and the United States, working as a writer, speaker, teacher, artist, community leader and activist. And primarily this is how Lincoln sees herself, as an artist activist who uses every talent and gift like a superhero, like Princess Diana of Themyscira. But, instead of using a magic lasso and invisible plane Lincoln uses words to save herself and hopefully the world. 7 Candidates for the Degree †First Honor Graduate First Honor Graduates Lucy-Dannielle Abena Ofosu-Appiah, summa cum laude Bachelor of Arts Charles Matthew Snyder, summa cum laude †Liane Elise Beckley, summa cum laude, Lynette Yoshiki Masuda, in absentia, summa cum laude Neilsen Professional Practice Award, Lynette William George Rotsch, summa cum laude, Neilsen Juror’s Choice Award The Economics Department Award †Annalie Rose Buscarino, summa cum laude, Jacquelyn M.
