SHERBORNE TOWN COUNCIL To the Town Mayor & all Members of Sherborne Town Council, Youth Advisors, Public & Press. Dear Member PLANS COMMITTEE MEETING The Meeting of the PLANS COMMITTEE for the month of JUNE 2021 will not take place owing to the current COVID 19 restrictions and the fact that formal decisions may no longer be passed at Virtual meetings. The plans will be sent individually to each Member, via email, for consideration. Representations received from the public will be made available to the committee members. Each Member to email their response to all other members of the Committee, to ensure that their comments are shared by the full Committee. On consideration of the responses received from Members, the Chairman, Town Clerk and Civic Administrator will prepare a ‘Consultee Observation’ on each application, to be returned to Dorset Council in the usual manner. If a Member wishes to declare an interest or has a dispensation request relating to any of the applications listed under Items 5 and 6, please indicate in your email response. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST AND DISPENSATION REQUESTS Dispensation Requests must be submitted using the approved form and Members are reminded of their obligations to declare their interests in the following items and to indicate the action they will be taking when the item is considered as per the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Model Code of Conduct which has been prepared to comply with the requirements of Section 27 of the Localism Act 2011. 3. MINUTES To approve as a correct record the Minutes of the Virtual Meeting of the Plans Committee held on 4 May 2021. 4. RESULTS OF TRAFFIC SURVEYS IN OBORNE AND SHERBORNE Summaries received from Dorset Council Highways Department: Location 1 – Northeast of Oborne (40mph limit) (Survey 3611) This site does NOT meet criteria for a SID with an 85%ile speed SWB of 39.8mph. Location 2 – Southwest of Oborne (40mph limit) (Survey 1839) This site MEETS criteria for a SID, with an 85%ile speed NEB of 46.7mph. Location 3 – Outside the Toy Barn (40mph limit) (Survey 3612) This site does NOT meet criteria for a SID with an 85%ile speed SWB of 39.9mph. This gives STC 2 new locations at which to deploy the new SID, being the legacy post in North Wootton and a new site Southwest of Oborne. A traffic survey was also conducted in Long Street, the results indicate an average 85%ile speed of 24.9 mph (Survey 1398). .
