Public Library For Immediate Release (859) 475-3935 Hopkinsville, KY – July 3, 2017. The Friends of the Hopkinsville-Christian County Library will sponsor a Scholastic Book Fair at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library on July 13th, 14th and 15th. Book sale hours will be the same hours that the library is open: 10 to 7 on Thursday, 9 to 6 on Friday, and 9 to 5 on Saturday. These are the final three days of the library’s highly successful Summer Reading Program. The Grand Finale is on Saturday the 15th from 11 to 1. This will be a great time to celebrate your child’s achievement by allowing him or her to pick out some age-appropriate books. Books at the fair will be appropriate for children, grades K through 8. Friends of the Library President, Terry Fuqua, said, “We are happy to provide an opportunity for parents to purchase books for their children to support summer reading AND to help support the library. A percentage of all sales will be applied to books for the library.” The Friends group has, so far this year, sponsored programming at the library, purchased some much needed items for the use of both library staff and customers, and have organized this sale to benefit the library. Please support your public library! Even if you can’t attend the book fair onsite – you can still support the library by purchasing books online at www.scholastic.com/fair from July 6th to July 19th. You can find books for all ages, including adults, in the online sale. Anything you order during that time will count toward sales to the library. Your books will be delivered to the library and can be picked up there. The library will let you know when they are ready for pickup.
