UFC® BESTÄTIGT GLOVER TEIXEIRA GEGEN ILIR LATIFI FÜR DIE UFC FIGHT NIGHT® HAMBURG Ticketvorverkauf Läuft UFC® BESTÄTIGT GLOVER TEIXEIRA GEGEN ILIR LATIFI FÜR DIE UFC FIGHT NIGHT® HAMBURG Ticketvorverkauf läuft. London, UK, 4.

  • Teixeira: “I Feel Really Confident That I'm Going to Take the Belt Saturday Night.”
FOX Sports 1 UFC TONIGHT Show Quotes – 4/23/14 TEIXEIRA: “I FEEL REALLY CONFIDENT THAT I’M GOING TO TAKE THE BELT SATURDAY NIGHT.” UFC 172 Predictions, Plus Jones, Teixeira, Davis Interviews on UFC TONIGHT LOS ANGELES, CA – On this week’s UFC TONIGHT, Kenny Florian and Chael Sonnen interview Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira prior to their UFC 172 title fight. Plus, they talk to Phil Davis, who also fights at UFC 172. Ariel Helwani adds reports. UFC TONIGHT Host Chael Sonnen on Teixeira: “I was there the last time Glover lost, in Portland against Ed Herman in 2005. From that moment forward, he’s turned the corner. This is a tremendous success story. He’s trained with former champion Chuck Liddell. But visa issues kept him out of the country for a while. Now he’s arrived and he’s this close to a championship.” UFC TONIGHT Host Kenny Florian on Teixeira: “He can go out there and beat you in myriad ways - can knock you out, take you down, submit you. We’ve seen what Alexander Gustafsson did to Jon Jones, and that must make Glover think he can do it, too.” Sonnen on Teixeira: “He mixes it up well. He’ll start punching you and get you to cover up and then run you over and take you down. Chuck Liddell says if Glover gets Jon down, Jon will not get back up.” Jon Jones on if he’s glad he’s fighting Teixeira instead of taking the rematch against Gustafsson: “I’m very happy with the choice.

  • Bisping on Interim Middleweight Title Fight: “They’Re Not Fighting for My Title
FS1 UFC TONIGHT Show Quotes and Videos – 5/24/17 BISPING ON INTERIM MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT: “THEY’RE NOT FIGHTING FOR MY TITLE. ROMERO AND WHITTAKER ARE FIGHTING AND ONE OF THEM GETS A PARTICIPATION AWARD.” Bisping Picks Gustafsson to Beat Teixeira: “I see him staying on the outside, using the reach and range, and getting a decision win.” Los Angeles – On UFC TONIGHT, host Kenny Florian and guest host Michael Bisping preview the upcoming FS1 UFC FIGHT NIGHT: GUSTAFSSON VS. TEIXEIRA and also interview middleweight Gegard Mousasi. Plus, Karyn Bryant adds reports. UFC TONIGHT guest host Michael Bisping on the UFC announcing an interim middleweight title fight: “I was supposed to fight Georges St-Pierre for the title. Unfortunately, I do have a knee injury. I spoke to Dana White and he told me there will be an interim title between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero, but they’re not fighting for my title. Romero and Whittaker are fighting and one of them gets a participation award. Listen, I just had knee surgery and it hasn’t been too long. I defended my belt less than six months ago and it’s going to be a few more months until I can fight again. I think it’s premature, but the UFC has to do what they have to do and it’ll solidify the next number-one contender who I’ll fight. It’s an incredible fight. And good for me, one of them has to lose.” Bisping on White saying his fight with Georges St-Pierre is off: “I don’t know.

  • J O U R N a L Scoring Martial-Arts Workouts for Intensity
JOURNAL ARTICLES Scoring Martial-Arts Workouts for Intensity Pitmaster John Hackleman offers ideas on how athletes and trainers can measure the quality and quantity of martial-arts fitness training. John Hackleman with Greg Amundson and Shain Howard Courtesy of John Hackleman One of the core tenets of CrossFit is intensity as measured by average power. This is a pretty easy concept to evaluate in most of the CrossFit movements. You have a fixed load moving a known distance. Multiply the number of reps and divide by time. Doing more work in less time is the fast lane to fitness. However, in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), coaches face some daunting tasks when it comes to measuring athletes’ workouts. 1 of 6 Copyright © 2009 CrossFit, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Subscription info at http://journal.crossfit.com CrossFit is a registered trademark ® of CrossFit, Inc. Feedback to [email protected] Visit CrossFit.com MMA ... (continued) My purpose in writing this article is to introduce CrossFit athletes and coaches to some of the adaptations I’ve used with success at my CrossFit affiliate:The Pit martial arts and fitness. Take a simple Pit workout: 100 head kicks and 1,000 punches for time. That workout seems easy to score, right? The faster you hit the bag with 100 head kicks and 1,000 punches, the better your score. But, if Athlete A performs the task in five minutes and uses only 10 percent of his speed and power while Athlete B performs the task in 10 minutes and uses 90 percent of his speed and power, is Athlete A still getting better results? Coach Greg Glassman has addressed this very issue in the case of quantifying and qualifying workouts involving sledgehammer drills.
