How she has voted in regards to free trade between countries has varied depending on the country, but overall seems to promote trade between nations. She has defended outsourcing of U.S. jobs to India, but then had the opposite stance when it came to China. With outsourcing, it seems like how she votes is situational instead of decidedly one way or another. Her focus is on educating Americans better so that they can effectively compete for the jobs, and also creating new jobs so it is less of a problem. Would end the tax breaks that exist in the tax code for outsourcing jobs and have trade agreements with enforceable labor and environmental standards. He would like human rights to be a priority in the policy. When engaging in trade he would like to see the U.S. trade smarter. He also thinks that a greater emphasis on education will aid in the success of free trade.
