Expanding the first-of-its kind, modular all-in-one form factor line up, Dell is proud to introduce the OptiPlex 7090 and 3090 Ultra. The compact PC module is hidden inside a custom stand which now supports an even wider choice of monitors to create a truly innovative and space-saving All-in-One solution with minimal cabling. Building upon its award-winning design, this year brings more personalized technology with the addition of a cost- effective 3000 Series and a more powerful and intelligent 7000 Series Ultra. Adding more accessible configurations expands the market reach of the next generation of OptiPlex Ultra across differentiated industries and use cases. The OptiPlex 7090 Ultra is the world’s most flexible modular all-in-one experience for a streamlined workspace and increased productivity with built-in AI from Dell Optimizer1 Evolving workspaces: Conventional desktops (DT) and All-in-Ones (AIO) separately address the needs for space savings and general computing in today’s fixed workspaces. An AIO is sleek and space efficient but since the display is integrated with the PC, it lacks the ability to manage the PC and display separately, thereby increasing the TCO for the customer. -

Inquiry Into IT Pricing
Submission 031 Received 14/06/2012 Inquiry into IT Pricing Dear Committee, I am making my submission as a public consumer of IT products. Presently, many of my purchases are online, mostly from Australian businesses that typically bypass local distributors to directly import from overseas, some of my purchases are also from international businesses. The reason for this is primarily the large price differential experienced with local retail outlets versus online suppliers. This large price differences do not in my experience stem from a retail outlet having to pay for a “bricks and mortar” shop front, as this appears in my experience to only add 5 -10% to a products price. The greatest difference appears to be that set by the original equipment manufacturers themselves. As an example of this I would like to show you a simple comparison available to anyone with internet access.
