Quilters Unlimited Newsletter The newsletter for Northern Virginia=s Quilters Volume 30, Number 3 January 2003 President=s Message Happy New Year! As usual, the holiday season went by so fast. This is our Winter newsletter, which means the QU year is really speeding by. There have been some fun and informative functions this year, and we only have a few more events, then the year will be over. But they should be great events, so don=t miss them! As I write this, we still have the Winter Quilt-to look forward to. A big >thank you= goes to McLean and Vienna Chapters for their organization of this event, which I=m sure, will be a lot of fun. Mark you calendar for January 19th, 2003, at the Falls Church High School. The QU Board of Directors (The elected Board and Chapter Presidents) met for an extended session and discussed the matter of amendments to our current by-laws. Suggestions have been proposed for improvements to deal with problems that have developed over the years. Amendments that were approved will be sent to each member in the next newsletter. My thanks to the committee and all board members who helped craft the amendments. Our next big event is the annual Quilt Show. I hope your quilts are all ready to hang, and that each of you will volunteer some time to help with the show. This year promises to be the best we=ve ever had. I know you=ll all support the show by bringing your family and friends to see our wonderful quilts, and be sure to buy and sell raffle tickets for the A30=s Fabrics for the 30=s@ quilt, a beautiful Pinwheel pattern.
