WHAT DOES MEAN IN & ?

A Brief Summary Statement for Each Side’s View:

Calvinism –

Particular Redemption or Limited Atonement.

Christ’s redeeming work was intended to save the elect only and actually secured salvation for them.

His death was a substitutionary endurance of the penalty of sin in the place of certain specified sinners.

In addition to putting away the sins of His people, Christ’s redemption secured everything necessary for their salvation, including faith, which unites them to Him.

The gift of faith is infallibly applied by the Spirit to all for whom Christ died, thereby guaranteeing their salvation.

Arminianism –

Universal Redemption or General Atonement.

Christ’s redeeming work made it possible for everyone to be saved, but did not actually secure the salvation of anyone.

Although Christ died for all men and for every man, only those who believe in Him are saved.

His death enabled God to pardon sinners on the condition that they believe, but it did not actually put away anyone’s sins.

1 Christ’s redemption becomes effective only if man chooses to accept it.

I don’t believe in Calvinism or Arminianism.

But, the following is what I do believe the Scripture teaches for today.

The first question is:

FREE WILL; DO WE HAVE IT OR NOT?

God gave US ALL free will to choose. God does not control any of us in this way.

Now it was said that in God's Omniscience,

He knew how and what Pharaoh would react to his circumstances.

Pharaoh got what he deserved, God did not create Pharaoh to die and be condemned!

We have that same choice today.

God said that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Rom. 3:23 and,

That the wages of sin is death. Rom. 6:23a;

But I am so glad that this verse didn't end right there!

But the whole verse shows us ALL how much God loved us.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Rom. 6:23

So if eternal life is a GIFT of God through Jesus Christ. (Also see Eph.2:8 - 9)

Then how do we get this Gift?

By Believing what Christ did for us on the cross.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; "Rom.1:16

[This is your FREE WILL CHOICE, If it is the Power of God unto salvation to Everyone that Believeth, then;

What must we believe?

2 1 Corinthians 15:3 - 4 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

[it is that simple] [It is all about what He did on that cross for us!]

To see God's Power after we believe this;

Here are the results of His finished work!

These things God does the moment you believe this and trust Christ;

1. FORGIVE YOU of ALL your sins. Ephesians 1:7.

2. REDEEM YOU. Romans 3:24

3. CIRCUMCISE YOU. Colossians 2:10 - 13.

4. ADOPT YOU. Romans 8:15 - 17.

5. ACCEPT YOU. Ephesians 1:6.

6. SANCTIFY YOU. 1 Corinthians 6:11

7. JUSTIFY & GLORIFY YOU. Romans 8:30.

8. COMPLETE YOU. Colossians 2:10.

9. AND, HE WILL BLESS YOU. Ephesians 1:3.

There are more!

But you need to read His Word Romans to Philemon, to find out more.
