Thanks to the sources of healing waters, Fojnica is considered a leading tourist center when the medical tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina is concerned. When it comes to the development of adventure and cultural tourism, we can evaluate that Fojnica is at the beginning of the development of these specific forms of tourism. Currently, out of the natural resources in Fojnica it is largely exploited potential of Prokoško lakes which is visited every year by many tourists. Other natural resources are not sufficiently represented in the tourist offers and promotional materials in order to fully use their capacity for the further development of adventure tourism. Forest vastness of rich forest fruits and wild animals provide the basis for the development of eco and hunting tourism. Although the territory of Fojnica has 5 National Monuments, in promotional activities are most prominent Franciscan monastery and its Museum. Old Town Kozigrad, Musafirhana - Smajlagića house and Nakšibedijska Tekke, which is located in the place called Živčići, along with the cemeteries tombstones could be the carriers of further development of the cultural and religious tourism in Fojnica.
