Stansty House is a high quality care home where the majority of the accommodation was purpose built in 2005. Residents can pursue their hobbies in our communal and quiet lounges where they can watch television, listen to music or perhaps have some reading time. Outside the residential and nursing unit there is a garden with a lawn surrounded by plants, patio and seating area. The dementia care unit offers a secluded sensory garden which has been designed to stimulate the senses and provide a haven of peace. The garden features a bird table, seating area and vegetable plot where residents are encouraged to join together to grow and select vegetables. These areas are used for relaxing, socialising and are great places to invite family and friends when they visit. Food for thought... Dining is a social occasion here at Stansty House and our three dining rooms are warm and welcoming. We encourage residents to eat in the dining rooms so that they may enjoy the company of fellow service users to make a social occasion of meal times but they can choose to eat in their room if they wish. We encourage friends and family to join us for meals or afternoon tea anytime. We have highly nutritious and varied menus and cater for all dietary and cultural needs. All of our food is prepared using fresh ingredients in our kitchens every day. The tables are laid with flowers and our menus are on display to show the choices available. Snacks, fresh fruit and refreshments are provided 24 hours a day. We also cater for special celebrations for our residents such as birthdays and anniversaries. The home has been awarded the five starG “ old Award” in a joint initiative between Wrexham County Borough Council and the Food Standard Agency of Wales. The G“ old Award” is the highest grade awarded and is given for achieving and maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and staff training. “freshly prepared cuisine, perfect for those special occasions...” A restful night...
