On January 1, 1982, after extensive local and national debate, the judges of the Southern District of Florida adopted a rule governing the admission and practice of attorneys in this district as recommended by the lawyers practicing in this district and by the Judicial Conference of the United States . The Judicial Conference recommendations had been carefully considered by thirty-three prominent members of the Florida Bar and the Bar of the Southern District . It was the recommendation of this prestigious Bar committee that the Court adopt the rule governing admission and practice and create five committees to implement and evaluate the rules therein created . The committees were ( 1) District Admissions Committee ; (2) District Examination Committee ; ( 3) Trial Experience Committee ; (4) Student Practice Committee ; and ( 5) District Peer Review Committee . A list of the members of the original committees is appended hereto as Exhibit 1 . The retirement or death of some of the original committee members has caused the lawyer members to request the Court to bring current the co mmittee memberships established by the Rules of Court . 1 Therefore, pursuant to the rules governing the admission and practice of attorneys, Rule 7, it i s ORDERED, ADJUDGED and DECREED that the following persons be, and they are hereby, appointed to designated committees of the Court as replacement fnr those committee members who have moved out of the district, retired, or who are deceased : DISTRICT ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE The Honorable Edward B .
