IST Monsoon Watch ♦ The Low Pressure Area over Northwest adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odishanorth Andhra Pradesh coasts persists. However, the associated cyclonic circulation now extends upto 4.5 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height. ♦ The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Ganganagar, Alwar, Gwalior, Sidhi, Ambikapur, Angul, Centre of Low Pressure Area over Northwest adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha¬north Andhra Pradesh coasts and thence southeastwards to Eastcentral Bay of Bengal♦ A cyclonic circulation lies over east Vidarbha & neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level. Main Weather Observations Heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rainfall observed at most places over Chhattisgarh, at many places over Vidarbha, few places over East Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places over West madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorm bserved at isolated places over Chhattisgarh. No large change in maximum temparatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 3-4 days . Minimum Temperature No large change in mimimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. They were normal over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. Dhar recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 20.5 degree celsius.     Executive Summary for 6.83 Ha Salebhar Laterite, Red Ochre & Clay mine EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1. PREAMBLE Minerals are the chief source of present phase of industrialization, and play an important role in the present phase of the national economy and overall development of the nation. India is endowed with significant mineral resources. India produces 89 minerals out of which 4 are fuel minerals, 11 metallic, 52 non- metallic and 22 minor minerals. The Laterite, Red Ochre & clay deposits occurring mainly in Shahdol, Satna, Gwalior, Katni, Jabalpur and Sidhi districts has led to establishment of number of refractory and some ceramic industries in the State. Laterite, Red Ochre & Clay project is located at village –Salebhar, Taluka Bahoriband; Katni District (MP). 6.83 Ha mining lease area is being operated by the lessee Smt. Rekha Sharma having office at Bhopal and she is private individual. In order to assess the likely impacts on environment due to ongoing mining activity and to have a tool of environment management, Smt. Rekha Sharma has submitted the Rapid Environment Impact Assessment study report for mining project. 2. LOCATION 6.83 Ha of Laterite, Red Ochre & Clay mining lease area is located in village – Salebhar, Taluka Bahoriband, Katni District (M.P.). Presently land use of the area is Govt. waste revenue land. The query lease was sanctioned under proposed for Laterite, Red Ochre & Clay. In the past censuses the final population totals and their basIc characteristics at the lowest geographical levels popularly known as the Village/town Primary Census Abstract was compiled manually. The generation of Primary Census Abstract for the Census 2001 is a fully computerized exercise starting from the automatic capture of data from the Household Schedule through scanning to the compilation of Primary Census Abstract. ThiS publication titled "Final Population Totals" is only a prelude to the Primary Census Abstract. The publication, which has only one table, presents data on the total population, the Scheduled Castes population and the Scheduled Tribes population by sex at the state, district, tehsll and town levels. The vitlage-wise data IS being made available In electronic format It is expected to be a useful ready reference document for data users who are only Interested to know the basic population totals. Keeping in view the experience gained in environmental clearance process over a period of onedecade, the MoEFCC came out with Environmental Impact Notification, SO 1533 (E), dated 14 th September 2006. It has been made mandatory to obtain environmental clearance for different kinds of development projects as listed in Schedule-1 of the Notification. Further, In pursuance to the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court dated the 27th February, 2012 in I.A. No.12- 13 of 2011 in Special Leave Petition (C) No.19628-19629 of 2009, in the matter of Deepak Kumar etc. Vs. State of Haryana and Others etc., prior environmental clearance has now become mandatory for mining of minor minerals irrespective of the area of mining lease; And also in view of the Hon’ble National Green Tribunal, order dated the 13th January, 2015 in the matter regarding sand mining has directed for making a policy on environmental clearance for mining leases in cluster for minor Minerals, The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in consultation with State governments has prepared Guidelines on Sustainable Sand Mining detailing the provisions on environmental clearance for cluster, creation of District Environment Impact Assessment Authority and proper monitoring of minor mineral mining using information technology and information technology enabled services to track the mined out material from source to destination.
