The plaintiff was again exposed to asbestos when undertaking domestic renovations in 2000 and 2001 on his home at Pooraka, and again in 2004 when working on his home at Parafield Gardens. These products had been manufactured by James Hardie, and sold to and installed by others, many years before the plaintiff worked on them. The plaintiff was diagnosed with a rare form of mesothelioma in August 2017, when he was just 40 years old.
