“The radio is a marvelous invention, and without doubt was brought about by the Lord for the benefit of those who are now trying to give his witness. While it is true that others use the radio, the real purpose of the invention is to let the world know in this way that Jehovah is God and that Christ is King.”2 “Long centuries ago God foresaw the conditions now being experienced. He provided the radio, whereby the members of Zion can speak at long distances to those who are kept in the prison house of the ecclesiastical systems. In due time he brought the radio into operation to meet the present conditions and to be used to serve upon the peoples of earth notice of his intention to set up his kingdom.”3 “Again it may be asked, Why has the Lord brought the radio into action at this stage of his work, and why has he permitted his people to control and use a number of radio broadcasting equipments for proclaiming the truth? The only answer is, That by this means the witness might be given. There are millions of people who know something about the Lord, but who have been blinded to their privileges, having been held as prisoners and are yet thus held. It is manifest that since the Lord has permitted his people to see these truths at this time, and their privilege of giving a witness to the prisoners, that such a witness mast now be given. The radio is furnishing the means of reaching them where they otherwise could not be reached; and, once hearing the message of truth, they are ready to read and learn more about it.”4 “The radio is in the nature of lightning and it belongs to Jehovah, and except by his permission man cannot use the radio. Manifestly the text means that God sends his lightnings and that man has no such power. The radio is therefore a manifestation of God’s power and not the power of 1 JAKER, Bill & SULEK, Frank & KANZE, Peter. The radio belongs to Jehovah, and man uses it only by virtue of His permission.”5 “The radio belongs to God. He provided it for man and brought it to light at the proper time to announce his kingdom. Now the selfish interests would control the radio and use it entirely for selfish purposes. God will see to it in his due time that all the people shall hear the truth, and he will use the radio as one of the means of informing them.”6 Los EIB y TCJ han utilizado todo medio a su alcance –las "nuevas tecnologías" de cada época-- para esparcir su entendimiento bíblico. En: The Watch Tower, 1933, June 1, p.172. 6 “Prosperity under God’s Kingdom.” Radio Broadcasting as Used by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Thesis, Boston University, 1958 [No consultada]; NEEB, Martin J., Jr. An Historical Study of American Non- Commercial AM Broadcast Stations Owned and Operated by Religious Groups, 1920-1966. (NEEB, Martin J., Jr. An Historical Study of American Non-Commercial AM Broadcast Stations Owned and Operated by Religious Groups, 1920-1966. 9 Proclamadores, p.720; “Views from the Watch Tower.” En: The Watch Tower, 1922, June 15, p.180; “Modern History of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
