• Vitamin A Campaign successfully completed on Baisakh 6-7 (19-20 April) in Province- 2. Targeted: ➢ 571,700 children of 6-59 months dozed with Vitamin A Capsule ➢ 509,342 children 6-23 months received Albendazole ➢ 188,450 children 6-23 months received Balvita/MNP Major Highlights
• 3 NRHs are functional. Total 61 new SAM children are admitted in 3 NRHs in Chaitra 2077. Currently 19 SAM children in treatment in NRHs: Rajbiraj (7), Janakpur (4) and Birgunj (8). • 172 SAM children received treatment from 157 OTCs in Chaitra 2077 • Nutrition activities of Redbook ongoing in 136 municipalities of Province-2

• MSNP:
➢ Province level Nutrition and Food Security Steering Meeting held on 6th April
➢ Municipality Level Nutrition and Food Security Committee formed in 9 municipalities of Siraha (New MSNP district) and orientation on MSNP provided to committee members.
➢ Total 28 Drinking Water Supply Scheme selected
➢ 17 Women Cooperative selected Rural Municipality Level NFSSC formation and orientation program, Sakhuwananakarkatti RM, Siraha Major Highlights
• “Nutrition in Emergency” five day’s capacity building training received by Nutrition Cluster members- PHD, PHLMC and UNICEF in Kathmandu.
• Wheat Soya Blend (WSB+) distribution started in three municipalities of Saptari (Kanchanrup, Bodebarsain, Balan Bihul) with support of WFP.
• WHH/ Aasman Nepal/FORWARD/MCDC: • Nutrition Training to 32 HW through Nutritional assessment, education and rehabilitation program (NERP), Rautahat • 339 Pregnant, Lactating and adolescent girls are enrolled in Linking Agriculture and Natural Resource Management towards Nutrition Security (LANN) program, in Saptari • Positive Deviance training to 56 community members in Dakneshwori, Saptari Upcoming Program
• Nutrition Assessment by SMART (Standardized Monitoring and Assessment of Relief and Transition) starting from Saptari- as per MoSD/PHD plan
• Contingency Plan for Emergency Nutrition Management 2021 and endorsement.
