MEMBERS OF THE GROUP, WHICH INCLUDED CHILDREN FROM AUSTRIA, BRITAIN, FRANCE AND THE NETHERLANDS. WHEN THE GRENADE EXPLODED, ONE FRENCH YOUTH WAS KILLED AND 15 TO 20 OTHERS WERE INJURED. LOCAL POLICE CHASED AND ARRESTED THE ATTACKER. ALTHOUGH HE WAS CARRYING A MOROCCAN IDENTITY DOCUMENT, POLICE BELIEVE HE IS LEBANESE. THE TERRORIST CLAIMS HE BELONGS TO A GROUP CALLED ''AL-FATAH REVOLUTIONARY FRONT.'' <CLASS='10',CTL='40'> IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THIS INCIDENT WAS PERPETRATED BY THE MAY 15 GROUP A SPLINTER OF THE-WA-Bf---HABBAB FAC'l'I-ON-. AN OFFICER OF THE CYPRUS SECURITY FORCES WHO WAS ON DUTY ON BOARD THE SHIP IS MISSING. A TOTAL 168 PASSENGERS AND 108 CREW MEMBERS WERE ON BOARD THE SHIP. REUTERS REPORTS THAT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE EXPLOSION HAS BEEN CLAIMED BY THE PALESTINIAN ORGANIZATION KNOWN AS 15 MAY. THE EL AL OFFICE AND THE LUFTHANSA TICKET OFFICE NEXT DOOR SUFFERED LIMITED DAMAGE. IT IS NOT KNOWN WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE BUT SECURITY FORCES SPECULATE THAT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN ARAB STUDENTS ATTENDING UNIVERSITIES IN ISTANBUL. ONE CHILD WAS KILLED AND 25 PERSONS INJURED. A BOMB HAD APPARENTLY BEEN PLACED BEHIND A RADIATOR IN THE DINING AREA. AN ARAB-LOOKING WOMAN HAD BEEN SEEN SITTING NERVOUSLY IN THE AREA WHERE THE BOMB WENT OFF SHORTLY BEFORE THE EXPLOSION, AND SHE IS BEING SOUGHT BY AUTHORITIES.
