Mike Clay's 2020 NFL Projection Guide Updated: 9/10/2020 Glossary: Page 2-33: Team Projections Page 34-44: QB, RB, WR and TE projections Page 45-48: Category Leader projections Page 49: Projected standings, playoff teams and 2021 draft order Page 50: Projected Strength of Schedule Page 51: Unit Grades Page 52-61: Positional Unit Ranks Understanding the graphics: *The numbers shown are projections for the 2020 NFL regular season (Weeks 1-17). *Some columns may not seem to be adding up correctly, but this is simply a product of rounding. The totals you see are correct. *Looking for sortable projections by position or category? Check out the projections tab inside the ESPN Fantasy game. *'Team stat rankings' is where each team is projected to finish in the category that is shown. *'Unit Grades' is not related to fantasy football and is an objective ranking of each team at 10 key positions. The overall grades are weighted based on positional importance. The scale is 4.0 (best) to 0.1 (worst). A full rundown of Unit Grades can be found on page 51. *'Strength of Schedule Ranking' is based on 2020 rosters (not 2019 team record). '1' is easiest and '32' hardest. Rank Running Back Trending up Trending Down Target 9/7 Last updated Scott Atkins from SI Fantasy – RUNNING BACK RANKINGS - @ScottFantasy 1 Christian McCaffrey, CAR No brainer. You don't need me to tell you how good he is. 2 Saquon Barkley, NYG No brainer. You don't need me to tell you how good he is. 3 Ezekiel Elliott, DAL These are the ONLY three backs I'd take before Michael Thomas. I'm perfectly okay with you reversing this tier, but when Cook is on the field, I think he 4 Dalvin Cook, MIN justifies this draft capital. 5 Alvin Kamara, NO With an improved offensive line, Joe Mixon is primed for a big season. He's went over 1,100 yards each of the last two seasons and he might see increased use in the passing game. This is the final year of his rookie deal, so look for him to play lights out as he seeks to improve 6 Joe Mixon, CIN the 1.2 million this season to somewhere north of 8 million per year in the next contract. UPDATE: He received his contract. He deserved it, but I was hoping he'd play with a chip on his shoulder. I won't fault you if you decide Henry isn't for you at 7, as 6 through 9 are interchangeable. I 7 Derrick Henry, TEN just always lean towards the receptions rather than the Touchdown variance, although I don't see much stopping Henry from a repeat performance. Update: He's expected to be ready week one.

2020 GAME CAPSULES WEEK 16 SUNDAY – MONDAY MATCHUPS By Matt Wilson FantasySharks.com Senior Writer This is the final edition of our VIP Report Game Capsules for 2020. Thank you for reading. Have a safe and Happy New Year! -- Matt Wilson INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (10-4) PITTSBURGH STEELERS (11-3) SUNDAY, DECEMBER 27 TH 1 :0 0 P.M. ET HEINZ FIELD PITTSBURGH, PA LINE: PICK ’ EM OVER/UNDER: 4 3 .0 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS INJURIES TO MONITOR: Philip Rivers (toe), Marcus Johnson (quad), Mo Alie-Cox (knee), Jack Doyle (quad) BYE: Week 7 The Indianapolis Colts are 10-4 but still haven’t clinched a playoff berth. If the Baltimore Ravens lose, a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers will punch the Colts’ ticket to the postseason. If the Tennessee Titans lose to the Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis will win the AFC South. QUARTERBACK MATCHUP Philip Rivers continues to play his best football of the season, but the Pittsburgh Steelers have permitted the second-fewest passing yards and the ninth-fewest touchdown strikes. A moderate from Rivers is the best you can expect. RUNNING BACK MATCHUP Jonathan Taylor has received heavy workloads in recent weeks, but you should dial back your expectations for him since the Steelers defense has yielded the seventh-fewest rushing yards and the fewest fantasy points to running backs. Because of the tough rushing matchup, Nyheim Hines will see more action than usual in a pass-catching role. I like his chances for a score. WIDE RECEIVER MATCHUP The Steelers defense has permitted the ninth-fewest wideout fantasy points, and Pittsburgh is usually stingier versus the pass at home.
