Several Mules over £95 to a top of £113 from Tom Earl of Ethy Barton. A cracking Scotch Black Face Ewe from Philip Cornelius of Orchard Farm realized £88.50. 126 FAT HOGGS Weight Top Average Smaller entry due to the bad weather Per Head Per Kilo Per Head Per Kilo but the trade was just as fast, the good meat Hoggs over 270p, to a top of 281p 39.1-45.5 122 281 107.3 256.7 from Tom Earl of Ethy Barton, 45.6-52 128 267 124.1 252.7 St Winnow for a pen of 42kgs £118, Overall 128 303 116 261 followed by the Gregory Family of Pencuke, St Genny’s who realized 277pfor a pen of 44kgs, £122. Top per head on the day was £128 for a pen of 48kgs again sold by Tom Earl of Ethy Barton. 104 STORE HOGGS A stronger trade met by the Store Hoggs, over all average of £87.40, top being £106 from George Williams of St Kew. COUPLES A tidy run of Couples from Ricky Tremaine of Tintagel, saw his two pens of Singles realise £170 and Doubles topped at £210. IN LAMB EWES Another consignment of in lamb Ewes from Rob and Phil Simms of St Wenn again being much sought after, selling to a top of £180. STORE CATTLE AUCTIONEER – RICHARD DENNIS FIELDSMAN – STUART CORNELIUS 07879 415136 STORE CATTLE 180 Cattle at Hallworthy today with again another fast trade for all sections of Cattle, top spot going to John Chapman of Illogan with a superb bunch of 20 month Limousin x Steers to £1170. Ms S Mills of Wainhouse Corner ran in close with a super pen of fleshy Hereford x Steers to £1080. Avril Trehane of Linnick Farm, South Petherwin next seeing her best three Hereford x Steers to £1075. Matt Coles of Altarnun had a wonderful run of Cattle which topped out at £1035 for a sweet pair of Charolais x Steers and a single British Blue x to £1000, his best Limousin x Steers to £970. Heifers Avril Trehane topped this section with a powerful run of Hereford Heifers to £975 with Matt Coles close with a single Aberdeen Angus Heifer to £960. The Routly Family of Tresparrett with a run of 30 Herefords saw their Heifers to £930. Friesians Jeremy Stephens of Trebullett topped this section with his best to £830. 12-14 month Steers from M Button of St Tudy saw a top of £640 for 9 and £635 for 7. Kivells notice to Store Cattle Vendors It has come to our attention in recent months that a large number of Cattle are being sent to the market missing ear tags, and because of this the purchasers are having to tag the animals themselves. It is not the responsiblity of the purchasers to be tagging the animals, all cattle must be properly tagged before entering the market. We thank you for your cooperation STIRKS AND REARING CALVES AUCTIONEER – TIM KIVELL 07788 281900 STIRKS A very decent entry of 80 Stirks, with yet again another decent trade, top today of £690 for a Blonde Steer at 10 months old in from Campbell Hill of Torpoint, who had other 10 month old Aberdeen Angus Steers at £635 and 9 month old Charolais Steers at £620, his Heifers topped at £610, looking a hot trade for a Blonde at 9 months old, with his 10 month old Simmental Heifer at £550. Philip Stansfield up from Liskeard had a large run hitting £620 for a British Blue Steer at 10 months, with other British Blues at £590 x2, £565 x2, and £545 x3. His Aberdeen Angus Steers were the dearest reaching £640 for a lean Aberdeen Angus Steer at 11 months, and other Aberdeen Angus Steers at £560 for 9-10 months, his British Blue Heifers reached £545. Mark Button again had another super run of 30, topping at £520 for his Limousin Steers at 6-7 months, and also £520 for his Aberdeen Angus Steers 6-7 months. His Charolais and British Blue Steers reached £505, and his Heifers looking the dearest again at £495 for Limousins at 6 months. We had other younger Aberdeen Angus Steers at 6 months race to £540 for Steve Carpenter of Looe, with his 3 month old Aberdeen Angus Heifers at £395. British Blue Heifers in from Darren Hooper of Saltash hit £500 for 13 month old, and his 10 month Aberdeen Angus Heifers at £475. 110 Stirks booked in for next week.
