However, all the key information is contained within this document so it can be read in isolation by those unable to attend the drop-in sessions. What is a Neighbourhood Plan? Neighbourhood Plans are a right for communities to shape development in their areas and they were introduced by the Localism Act in 2011. The Neighbourhood Plan will become a planning document which will control new building and land use in the valley for the next 15 years. How does it relate to the Kirklees Local Plan? The Neighbourhood Plan is different from the Local Plan and produced by the Holme Valley Parish Council, not Kirklees. -

Our ref: 2387/21 Figures for incidents of drink spiking in your region over the last 5 years (year by year) I would appreciate it if the figures can be broken down to the nearest city/town. Can you also tell me the number of prosecutions there have been for the above offences and how many of those resulted in a conviction? Please see the attached document. West Yorkshire Police receive reports of crimes that have occurred following a victim having their drink spiked, crimes such as rape, sexual assault, violence with or without injury and theft. West Yorkshire Police take all offences seriously and will ensure that all reports are investigated. Specifically for victims of rape and serious sexual offences, depending on when the offence occurred, they would be offered an examination at our Sexual Assault Referral Centre, where forensic samples, including a blood sample for toxicology can be taken, with the victim’s consent, if within the timeframes and guidance from the Faculty for Forensic and Legal Medicine. West Yorkshire Police work with support agencies to ensure that all victims of crime are offered support through the criminal justice process, including specialist support such as from Independent Sexual Violence Advisors. We are just leaving the Galaxy of May and entering the Galaxy of June... As most of you are now aware we have terminated the contract of the caterers, I would like to add that this has been with more or less the full backing of the membership, although there has been a few negative responses to the decision. However, C'est La Vie, we move on. On a more positive note, we have interviewed three candidates for the position, all promising and a decision will be made as soon as possible. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Denise Mear who stepped in to help run the catering at short notice. Denise has undertaken all the catering commitments throughout May with outstanding success above and beyond the call of duty. She has worked tirelessly in the kitchen to clean and organise it back to full working order, to the point of where we may have had to tell her to take time out before she made herself ill, in the amount of work she was doing. I am sure the members will appreciate the work Denise has done and please take the opportunity to thank her when you see her. Also thank you to everyone who chipped in to help clean the kitchen areas. Also I wish to thank Noel Gleeson for running the bar, organising the cellar, and helping the bar staff. Noel has been another unsung hero, please thank him when you see him. -

The face of the waterfall is a massive sandstone exposure of the Upper Carboniferous Huddersfield White Rock with cross bedding. The sandstone has been faulted against shales, which include a marine band in which fossils have been found in the past. The fault plane runs in a small gully between the face of the waterfall and the shales, which have been dragged upwards as the rocks moved and are dipping steeply. The fault plane is filled with soft clay called gouge, which is easily eroded. The waterfall has been formed because the stream erodes the shales faster than it erodes the much more resistant sandstone . About 5m of the Huddersfield White Rock is exposed at Folly Dolly Falls but it is largely covered by moss and other vegetation. The exposures in the disused railway cutting to the west of the falls show cross bedding and soft sediment deformation. HISTORICAL ASSOCIATIONS: This site was a spectacular waterfall, as shown in a 1922 photo from the Kirklees Photo Archive, and was visited by the general public who used the halt on the Meltham railway line. -
