Longyear Large Diamond Bits are highly versatile, capable of adjusting from one ground formation to another. They are also very durable, able to resist the wear and punishment of extreme ground conditions. They are our most productive bits ever with increased output, efficiency and performance, tested and proven at sites throughout the world. While drilling more like a surface set and requiring driller adaptation, for those who do, they promise the best available penetration and life, particularity in medium and large grained rock.

GREY BIT The Grey Bit is based on the original Longyear Large Diamond Bit. Boart Longyear has improved the impregnated diamond bit with the performance and reliability required to replace traditional surface- set diamond bits. The large synthetic diamond increases penetration and bit life over the original larger diamond bit. Drillers report a minimum of 200% life over traditional surface-set bits. Many surface-set drillers never had a reason to leave their traditional technology behind for impregnated diamond bits — until the Boart Longyear large diamond bit.

BLACK BIT Black Bit is about extreme penetration. Equipped with customer feedback and decades of experience and global testing, the Black Bit is our fastest penetrating, large diamond bit, featuring advanced technology for a free-cutting matrix good for use in medium to hard ground formations.
