Memorial for Fr.Terry – next weekend is the first anniversary of the death of our beloved Fr.Terry. The Developing World Group will be having their annual produce sale on the weekend of October 16/17 in Hinckley Mission Support Assistant The Diocese of is seeking to employ a committed Catholic, with experience in administration, who wants to see the Church grow and have a greater impact in the . The successful candidate would support the work of the outreach departments of the diocesan curia in spreading the Gospel and reaching the marginalised. They will work with the Adult Formation for Mission and Communications departments, as well as supporting the Ongoing Formation of Clergy and the work for Social Action with the poor and marginalised. This is a vital role in promoting and furthering the diocesan vision for providing encounters with God, forming disciples in Christ, and equipping spirit-filled missionary disciples. This is a permanent full-time post (37½ hrs/week), although job sharing may be a possibility. You are invited to join them for refreshments in the Mary Forryan Centre after Mass in Hinckley. Community Memorial Mass – the funerals of over 100 members of our communities have taken place, often in a very restricted manner, during the lockdown period. We want to commemorate them and invite their families to join us in the best way possible. We will be doing this at a special Mass on Friday October 1st at 7.00pm in Hinckley, followed by tea and coffee in the centre. The families will have received invitations and everyone is welcome. We could do with some help making the tea and coffee afterwards, so if you can help please see Marina. This Mass will replace the normal November service for our deceased parishioners. Lourdes Group Bingo Tea – resumes on Saturday October 2nd at 2.30pm in Hinckley Don Bosco Group – for young people aged 8-14, resumes on Monday September 27th from 6.00- 7.45pm in the centre at Hinckley. All young people welcome to join our happy group for games, art and conversation. SPANNED magazines – are on sale this weekend at £3 each – thank you for your support. MacMillan Coffee Morning - On Tuesday 21st September 10.00am – 1.00pm at Hinckley Methodist Church. Coffee, cakes and stalls. Everyone is most welcome to support this worthy cause. Refreshments after Sunday Mass - we have now restarted coffee and tea after the Sunday Mass in all our communities – you are all most welcome. Tuesday Discussion Group – for people at home during the day, will take place on September 28th, October 5th and 12th from 2.00-3.00pm in the Mary Forryan Centre with tea, coffee and a conversation about a short passage from the New Testament, exploring its meaning for today.
