Located in the deepest parts of southern Cornwall, just a few miles away from the British mainlands most southerly point, Mullion Golf Club offers up a challenging 6000 yard course that provides golfers with the finest in links golf. The course is surrounded by dramatic landscapes and rugged cliffs, so although this course may lack length, it certainly makes up for it with its unique breathtaking setting. Mullion, like West Cornwall, is one of those hidden gems tucked away in one of the countries hardest to reach spots, but if you decided to make the trek into the deep south, then the addition of this course is a must for any golf break. You will find that the course is in fantastic playing condition all year round and boasts clifftop views over Mounts Bay, Gunwalloe Church and the many nearby beaches. Like many of the links courses in Cornwall, the exposed nature of this course’ clifftop position mean that the wind can play a significant factor in how the course plays, and accuracy is at a premium. With its dramatic landscapes and challenging holes, Mullion Golf Club has all the ingredients for a fantastic golfing experience. Situated on the cliffs of the Lizard Peninsula and is framed by sandy coves and protected reed beds. Mullion golf course has been described as the most unorthodox and sporting club where golf is played in the most beautiful scenery. The Point at Polzeath is now a must visit course for anyone embarking on a golf break in Cornwall, recently revamped due to a multimillion pound investment, this stunning course is set in 230 acres of parkland surroundings, nestled between Pentire Point and Trevose Head and boasts stunning views of the Camel River and the Atlantic Ocean. The course now runs 6300 yards and is a joy to play for golfers of all standards and was awarded the Cornwall Golf Mark Club for 2015. Improvements to the course include new tees, especially forward tees, the addition and removal of several bunkers and a brand-new driving range with covered bays. St Mellion is a 12-time European tour venue that designer Jack Nicklaus described as one of the finest golf courses in all of Europe. In 2010, St Mellion underwent a £20 million refurbishment across both the golf course and the hotel, creating one of the premier stay and play venues in the UK. The resort sits at the gateway to Cornwall, just a short drive from the ocean city of Plymouth. The course has been immaculately finished, with noticeable definition between the different cuts of rough, sculpted fairways, lightning fast greens and a number of elevated tees that give fantastic views of the holes and the rest of the course. There are no easy holes at St Mellion and water and bunker hazards are scattered around every hole, making accuracy key for posting a good score. St Mellion was Nicklaus’ first venture into European course design and this stunning course boasts all the characteristics of a designer who pays attention to detail in every aspect of its design.

This work has therefore helped to raise awareness amongst operating authorities, of biodiversity opportunities linked to the implementation of SMP policies. It is also the intention that taking such an approach will integrate shoreline management with the long term evolution of the coast and help deliver the targets set out in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan.     SOUTH WEST Newquay Beach Newquay, facing the Atlantic Ocean on the North Cornwall Coast, is the largest resort in Cornwall. There are many different beaches to choose from including: Towan Beach, Fistral Beach, Lusty Glaze, Holywell Bay and Crantock. Reachable by a stiff walk from the village of West Pentire, is Porth Joke, also known as Polly Joke, a delightful suntrap of a beach, surrounded by low cliffs, some with sea caves, unspoilt and popular with families. A stream runs down the valley, and open fields and low dunes lead right onto the head of the beach. The beach is popular with body boarders. Often cattle from the nearby Kelseys, an ancient area of springy turfed grassland, rich in wildflowers, can be found drinking from the stream. Beyond the headland is Holywell Bay arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, backed by sand dunes framed by the Gull Rocks off shore. Reachable by a 15 minute walk from the Car Park. It is a nice walk west along the Coast to Penhale Point, with superb views across Perran Bay, with Perranporth in the middle distance. Davies National Rivers Authority Environmental Protection Manager South West R egion ANNUAL CLASSIFICATION OF RIVER WATER QUALITY 1992: NUMBERS OF SAMPLES EXCEEDING TOE QUALITY STANDARD - FWS/93/012 This report shows the number of samples taken and the frequency with which individual determinand values failed to comply with National Water Council river classification standards, at routinely monitored river sites during the 1992 classification period. Compliance was assessed at all sites against the quality criterion for each determinand relevant to the River Water Quality Objective (RQO) of that site. The criterion are shown in Table 1. A dashed line in the schedule indicates no samples failed to comply. This report should be read in conjunction with Water Quality Technical note FWS/93/005, entitled: River Water Quality 1991, Classification by Determinand? where for each site the classification for each individual determinand is given, together with relevant statistics. The results are grouped in catchments for easy reference, commencing with the most south easterly catchments in the region and progressing sequentially around the coast to the most north easterly catchment. This house is awesome; let’s not forget the cinema room, sauna-with-a-view, spa and outdoor hot tub, and most importantly: the floor to ceiling sea views from almost every beautifully appointed en suite room. It has all been put together with the utmost care and attention: from the dual control Aga, copper lined walls and wrapped kitchen, bespoke metal shelves, sliding barn doors, to my favourite: the incredible glass Paris Metro globe lamps that light up the glass atrium; it’s a fairytale house for you to play in. Barford is in the heart of Cornwall and is surrounded by spectacular scenery, restaurants and activities, in this folder we have listed a few of our favourite things to do and places we have been, there is much more online. We have also included useful info on how to make things work.
