However, the majority of them have low energy density. One of the favorable technologies for enhancing that property is briquetting. For the case of Phitsanulok, a province in Northern Thailand, cassava is one of the most important crops. Therefore, a large amount of cassava stalk is left in the field after harvest. This study was aimed to investigate the quantity of cassava stalk in this province and to study cassava stalk briquette production. Approach: The potential energy from cassava stalk was calculated based on the productivity, residue-to-product ratio, residue returned to soil ratio and its heating value. Besides, the effects of moderate-range compression pressure, 70-110 bar, and the binder ratio, 10-20%, on briquette density were investigated. An empirical model was also developed and validated. Results: Base on the estimation, the quantity of usable cassava stalk in this area was approximately 18 kton year−1. The heating value of cassava stalk was found to be 16.39 MJ kg−1. Therefore, the total energy over 289 TJ year−1 can be obtained from this agricultural waste. According to the experiment, briquette density was in the range of 0.40-0.77 g cm−3. The coefficient of multiple determination for prediction of the proposed model was about 94.7%. -

The lower northern part of Thailand contains various genetically diverse ethnic populations. The sequences of the mitochondrial DNA hypervariable region were studied in three ethnic populations inhabiting Phitsanulok Province. One hundred and nine nucleotide sequences - 53, 29, and 27 from Hmongs (Hill tribe), Lao Songs, and Thai-Siams, respectively - were collected. The haplotypes were generated from 1130 nucleotides of the entire control region. Eighty-six haplotypes were found in the three ethnic populations, and no shared haplotypes were found between populations. Point heteroplasmy was noted at position 311 (C→Y). Haplotypes with ACAC-insertion at position 512 were observed in immigrant individuals from the Lao Song population. The Thai-Siam population showed higher genetic diversity than the other populations. The Hmong and Lao Song populations Genetics and Molecular Research 16 (3): gmr16039687 U. Outline of the ODA Loan Assistance Map of the project site Project target road (Don Sak-Sichon section in Surat Thani) 1.1 Background In Thailand, transport falls into five major areas: road transport, railway transport, maritime transport, inland water transport and air transport. Road transport plays an important role in the Thai transport system. For example, the share of road transport of the total cargo transport volume of all transport systems (ton-km base) in 1998 was 90.9%. Although the main trunk highways in Thailand were well developed and its pavement ratio was 97.9% in 1999, expansion of traffic capacity for existing roads was an important issue as traffic volume increased year by year. Likewise, there was a remarkable increase in traffic volume in regional areas, and the lack of capacity of roads was creating a bottleneck in the smooth transport of domestic cargo. With this background, the First Phase of the Four-Lane Highway Widening Project (target length: 1,891km) was planned in 1993 as a development plan for the main trunk highways. This Four-Lane Highway Widening Project was given the highest priority in road sector development as well as priority budget allocation among road rehabilitation projects. In addition, the Second Phase of the Four-Lane Highway Widening Project (target length: 4,638km) was established in 1995, and the improvement of the major two-lane national highways to four-lane roads was further promoted. -
Tram in Phitsanulok
Unit 1 Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahaviharn “There is no clear evidence as to when Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahaviharn (WatYai)”, in Phitsanulok province, was constructed. It is presumed to have been built as a royal temple during the Sukhothai Era. When the Sukhothai stone inscriptions were discovered, the information formed on them indicated that King Srinaonamthom built the Phra Tantatathat Sukonta Chedi. Local people often refer to this temple as “WatYai” or “Wat Aram Luang Pho Phra Buddha Chinnarat”. In 1915, Phra Bat Somdet Phra Mongkut Klao Chao Yu Hua (King Rama VI) ennobled the temple to a first-grade or Royal Temple of the Woramahaviharn type. Nowadays, the full name of the temple is “Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahaviharn”. It is an ancient temple that has high significance in history and archaeology. Wat Yai is located on the east bank of the Nan River opposite the Phitsanulok City Hall. And is considered by Somdet Phra Chao Borommawong Thoe Krom Phraya Damrong Rajanubhab to be the most important temple in Phitsanulok. It is believed to have been built during the early Sukhothai period when Sukhothai was a capital city and, has been restored many times over the ensuing years”. In the northern historical records, it is proclaimed that, “During B.E. 1900, Phra Chao Sri Dhamma Tri Pidok (Phra Maha Dhamma Racha Lithai) was a King that ruled Sukhothai, and was a faithful believer in Buddhism”. Moreover, the King also studied the Tripitaka and scriptures of other religions. The King built this temple on the east side of Nan River with a stupa in the center, 4 viharns in the 4 corners, 2 terraces and ordered the casting of 3 Buddha images to be enshrined as the Main Buddha image in the temple. -

Thus, TCEB has continued this project to seek and develop new MICE products in 7 categories with the highest demands to cater to the MICE market in Thailand and abroad. In the 2020 fiscal year, TCEB sought new MICE products and venues in MICE cities and other cities with potential, totaling 11 cities: Bangkok, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, Phitsanulok, Sukhothai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Pattaya, Chanthaburi, Phuket, and Surat Thani. Because of the lack a feeling of importance of groundwater, especially, in the late 20th century, groundwater has been significantly damaged by human activities, resulting in groundwater issues, such as land subsidence, seawater intrusion, and groundwater pollution by toxic substances, that have become remarkable problems in everywhere in the world. The countries in the East and Southeast Asia have been also faced the many groundwater problems which are needed international cooperation to be solved. Since the establishment of the organization in 1966, geological and geophysical surveys have been carried out by the CCOP under the cooperative schemes in the East and Southeast Asia for offshore natural resources. These data have been distributed to member countries as printed maps and publications. As for a groundwater project, “Groundwater database in East and Southeast Asia͇had been compiled under the DCGM Phase IV project of CCOP from 2001 to 2004. The following project, named “Groundwater Assessment and Control in the CCOP Region by CCOP-GSJ/AIST Groundwater project” from 2005 to 2008, had been started from a point of view of finding a solution of issues on an exploration and an exploitation of a groundwater resource.
