We were than called a Board of Lady Managers. Our first Benefit was a concert given in 1891 to raise funds for repairs to a part of the medical school which had been destroyed by fire. We are the oldest hospital Auxiliary in Maryland, and as far as records indicate, we may be the oldest in the United States. IN APPRECIATION On behalf of the Woman's Auxiliary Board, I wish to thank all of the members of our auxiliary and our many friends who make possible aur continued service and support of the University of Maryland Hospital.
