    Working on behalf of Customer Contact Centre: 0300 123 5000 www.highwaysengland.co.uk ESSENTIAL MAINTENANCE WORKS: A5 JACK’S HILL Multi-Disciplinary Project Update Bulletin 10 – 30.7.2020 Clearance of vegetation, tree removal, regrading of verges, footpath works, CCTV surveys of existing drainage pipelines and installation of drainage and kerbing were completed in Phase 4, which runs northwards from Main Street, Upper Stowe to Main Street, Church Stowe on Wednesday 29th July 2020. Similar works in Phase 5, which runs northwards from Main Street, Church Stowe to Heyford Lane, Stowe Hill and Phase 6, which runs northwards from Heyford Lane, Stowe Hill to Weedon Bec will be substantially completed by Friday 31st July 2020. NB: We are planning to return to Phases 5 and 6 on Monday 17th August 2020. This is so that we can repair existing surface water drainage pipelines using trenchless technology and also excavate to replace pipelines damaged by others. These works are expected to take approximately two weeks or so and will run concurrently until one of the phases is completed. Our next and final weekend closure is between 8pm Friday 31st July and 6am Monday 3rd August 2020 in both Phase 1, which runs northwards from Tove roundabout (A43) to Banbury Lane / Butcher’s Lane crossroads, Foster’s Booth and Phase 2, which runs northwards from Banbury Lane / Butcher’s Lane crossroads, Foster’s Booth to Northampton Road (Litchborough). With the rise of rural house prices in recent years and the lack of available properties, local people are being forced to move away from their community in order to find housing they can afford. Daventry District has a growing population, to add to this the structure and size of households is also changing. When new households are formed or circumstances change, people may find their home unsuitable and it is therefore important that there is an adequate amount of housing to accommodate their needs. The provision of affordable housing is high on Daventry District Council’s agenda, as part of our vision to build a better district it is prioritised under the objective: “Healthy, Safe and Strong Communities and Individuals”. To this end the Council has been undertaking a rolling programme of affordable housing provision, which is based on robust evidence of housing need and local information – provided by Housing Needs Surveys. This report summarises the findings of the Housing Needs Survey in Holdenby Parish, undertaken in March/April 2012. Strategic and Planning Context Daventry District Council has a number of policies and strategies to help deliver housing in both planning policy and housing strategy terms.

    Chairman: Councillor Barry Frenchman Clerk: Mrs L Compton 12 Olde Forde Close Brixworth Northants NN6 9XF Tel/Fax 01604-880727 Email: sprattonpc@tiscali co.uk Minutes of a Meeting of Spratton Parish Council Held on Tuesday 17th June 2014 in the Village Hall, School Road, Spratton at 7.30 pm Present: Cllrs Barry Frenchman (Chairman), Tim Forster (Vice-Chairman), John Hunt, Fiona Keable, Rachel Baillie, Michael Heaton and Jay Tindale – 7 members In attendance: 3 members of the public 21.14 PUBLIC FORUM Members of the public and press are invited to address the Council at its Open Forum from 7.30 pm to 7.45 pm There were 3 members of the public in attendance who were awaiting the update on the Neighbourhood Plan. 22.14 RESOLUTION TO APPROVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE Cllr Frenchman proposed acceptance of apologies from Cllr Blowfield, Cllr Ruaraidh-McDonald Walker and Cllr Pacey, seconded by Cllr Heaton and resolved to be approved by Parish Council. 23.14 RESOLUTION TO SIGN AND APPROVE MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 4TH JUNE 2014 (previously circulated) – Cllr Frenchman proposed approval of the minutes, seconded by Cllr Heaton and resolved to be approved by Parish Council. 24.14 MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MINUTES AND CLERK UPDATE REPORT (if any) – For Information only a) First Responders (209.13 b April Minutes) – to receive an update from Cllr Baillie – after some discussion and clarification that First Responders is part of the Ambulance Service and involves training people to be respond to 999 calls and not the same as the free HeartStart training which is a free 2 hour Emergency First Aid Course, Cllrs Baillie and Keable kindly agreed to look into both further and report back.

I went on a very good holiday to the vale of Glamorgan, an area I have never been to before, which had some interesting bells and churches and very varied scenery. Back to Easter Saturday and the sponsored walk and cycle ride. It was a beautiful warm sunny day with about 40 people walking and cycling. The cyclists went round Rutland Water with or without the peninsular and the walkers walked round the peninsular. The best part of the walk was the bluebell woods and at one place a whole field full of them. After we had finished the walk we met the cyclists at the Pub at Manton which was packed inside and out with everyone enjoying the lovely weather.
