Overview

Over the week, the military opera�ons con�nue to intensify in the western coastal areas, which has resulted in an increased wave of displacement in several loca�ons in the country.

In Al Hudyadah hub, the humanitarian actors have assessed and verified about 8,859 IDP families in nine districts. JAAHD (Jeel Albena Associa�on for Humanitarian Development) completed an assessment that covered 1,598 IDP families in Ad Durayhimi district. The results revealed that all the families assessed are in need for NFIs while 965 families are in need for EESKs (Enhanced Emergency Shelter Kits). Another assessment completed by JAAHD in Al Marawi'ah district showed that 181 IDP families who se�led in schools are in cri�cal need for NFIs and EESKs.

In Ibb hub, it was reported that 728 IDP families displaced in Ibb and 558 families in Taizz. YWU ( Women Union) completed the verifica�on of 1,286 IDP families displaced in Ibb and north Taizz. In south Taizz, the humanitarian partners including NRC, CARE, SCI, INTERSOS, OXFAM and GWQ (Genera�on Without Qat) are currently assessing and verifying new IDPs in Al Ma'afer, Ash Shamayatayn, Al Mawasit, Al Misrakh, Al Mudhaffar and Al Qahirah districts. It was observed that majority of IDPs are currently hosted by rela�ves or friends in overcrowded situa�on whereby 4 to 5 families are sharing the same house. Families reported having to take long journey to reach displacement loca�ons in Taizz where they were vulnerable to pass through conflict areas, blocked roads, heavy rain and denied movement from some of the checkpoints .

In Aden hub areas of coverage, some 738 IDP families have been displaced in the southern . Sub-Na�onal Cluster Partners including INTERSOS, NMO, CSSW, Al-Amal Associa�on, DRC and HYAC (Al Heikmah AlYemaniah Associa�on Charity) have assessed newly displaced families in Aden, Lahj, south of AlHudaydah (Al Khawkhah and Hays) and Abyan and prepara�on for the provision of assistance is underway. NMO (Nahdah Makers Organiza�on) is also conduc�ng rapid CCCM site assessments in Aden. It was reported that the Governors of Al Hudaydah, Aden and Lahj decided to establish IDP hos�ng sites in Aden and Lahj governorates. One of the new planned sites is located in Al Rebat area, Tuban district (Lahj) with the capacity to host 500 families and the authori�es are planning to relocate families who are currently hosted in schools and in open-areas to this site. SNCC (Sub-Na�onal Cluster Coordinator) visited the site and clearly ar�culated to authori�es, the possible support that could be provided by the Cluster. Respone In Al Hudaydah hub, JAAHD completed the distribu�on of NFIs to 459 IDP families in Al Hudaydah City while the distribu�on Reponse Per Hub for another 347 families s�ll ongoing. A Partner distributed NFIs to 828 IDP families in Al Marawi'ah district. NFI are being Aden distributed by IOM for 1,400 families in Bayt Al Faqiah district. Oxfam distributed plas�c shee�ng for 350 IDP families in district. In Ibb hub, UNHCR through YWU provided NFIs to two Ibb IDP families in Ibb and Taizz.. The distribu�ons ensured that the families have sufficient individual, general household, and Sana'a shelter support items to ensure their health, dignity, safety and well-being. Al Hudaydah

Challenges Humanitarian Partners reported facing challenges in ge�ng the necessary clearances from NAMCHA especially in Taizz thus affec�ng the delivery of immediate response.
