Carlos Ramírez* i hay algo que caracteriza a nuestro Ejército, es el Plan DN-III-E que se activa en casos de desastres naturales, algo que se ha hecho común Sen cualquier huracán, terremoto o incendio forestal. Para muchas personas, la esperanza renace cuando se observa la llegada de integrantes de la Sedena para apoya a la población en emergencias. Con el paso del tiempo, este plan se ha adaptado a las necesidades del país, añadiendo más especialistas, creando cuerpos especiales de apoyo, así como más equipo que permita una mayor movilidad y rapidez en la respuesta ante este tipo de necesidades. Este año se cumplen 55 de la institucionalización de este Plan, como una manera de que tanto el Ejército como la Fuerza Aérea Mexicanos puedan apoyar a la población en caso de desastres. Así, con el Plan DN-III-E se ha socorrido a la ciudadanía en terremotos como los que sufrió la Ciudad de México en 1987 o 2017, en distintos huracanes en las costas nacionales, inundaciones por tormentas, sequías, incendios forestales y otras emergencias que se han presentado en el territorio nacional.
