JOHN CAREY President SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING JIM RILEY As many of you know, a special membership meeting was held on March 22 to consider a Board President-Elect proposal addressing recent operating deficits as well as adequately funding capital reserves for Chair, Membership Committee refurbishment and replacement of all our “property, plant and equipment.” After a spirited MICHAEL KELLY discussion of the “pros and cons,” our membership approved the proposal. Congratulations for Past President having the vision to meaningfully address the long term capital needs of our club and insure that Timuquana will continue to thrive and improve our member experience. As the spring season begins, I would first like to thank everyone who has been supporting TCC Tennis the past few months; we’ve seen more participation than ever! The excitement and enthusiasm is clearly contagious based on all of the new faces we’re seeing around the courts. There’s no way we would be where we are today without our members, and for that, Matt and I are extremely grateful.

WHAT’S NEW? From the Friday night Mixed Doubles Team to Wednesday Teen Nights (ages 13+), there are options for everyone. We’ve also brought some new brands into the Tennis Shop including Asics, Lucky in Love and Eleven by Venus Williams.

JUNIOR RECAP Tiny Tomahawks to Tournament Training, our juniors’ clinics continue to grow each month. Parents’ Night Out in February drew 11 kids and was an absolute blast. We played tennis, goofed off, laughed and had too much fun!

Grace Burhyte and Jackson Haines took home some “hardware” at our first USTA tournament at Amelia Island Plantion, winning the Girls’ and Boys’ 12s main draw Tots learning to serve events! We couldn’t be prouder of all seven players who competed and how well they played and carried themselves on the court.
