Undergraduate

Duration Programme Description (full-time study) A vocational higher education qualification, equivalent to the Higher National Certificate / first part of a degree. An HNC or HND can be used to progress 1 or 2 years Diploma (HNC or HND) onto a Top-up or advanced entry to a Honours degree. Top-up courses are a means of obtaining a full bachelor’s honours Top-up to BA (Hons)/BSc (Hons) 1 or 1.5 years degree by building on existing qualifications or experience. An undergraduate or first degree course leading to a qualification Honours degree 3 or 4 years such as: BA (Hons); BSc (Hons); BEng (Hons); LLB (Hons). An undergraduate integrated Master’s course focused on MEng (Hons) 4 or 5 years engineering, combining a bachelor degree and master degree. Students who do not meet the University’s academic entry criteria may consider one of the academic foundation programmes that grant progression to an Honours degree. This course prepares you with the skills needed to undertake a 4 or 5 years degree-level course. Studying in the UK University programmes in the UK have approximately 15 hours of contact time with lecturers and academics per week, but will vary depending on your course and the timetable each semester. Classes can take the form of lectures, seminars and practical lab or workshop sessions. You will be assessed on your course through a number of means including exams, essays, coursework, presentations, research papers, project work and a dissertation.
