Northern Division covers the three Council areas shown on page 4 of this report. It is one of four Divisions, each of which manages the road network, commissions new works, and is the contact point for road users and public representatives. This report deals with works completed in the Mid & East Antrim Borough Council area during the year 2015/2016 and sets out our initial proposals for schemes to be undertaken in the year 2016/2017. The operation of a preparation pool of major schemes, without a funding commitment, is allowing the Division to take some important major schemes on the strategic route network through the statutory processes and to be in a good position to proceed when funding is confirmed. -

Also a transcript made after the fire to replace the original. Earliest of the few dates recorded is 1875 which predates the register to before the transfer of the graveyard to the Council from the Representative Church Body in 1896. Transfers are shown in red. Notes added for this transcription are shown in blue. It had been seized from the Bellews during the English Commonwealth confiscations of 1653. As the estate was situated within the barony of Ardee, it became part of the land grant that was made to English Commonwealth ex-soldiers who had service in Ireland prior to 1649. Many of these ex-soldiers came from families who had been settled in Ireland during the seventeenth century or earlier. A William Peppard or Pepper, was the ex-soldier who was granted Lisrenny (Harold O’Sullivan, A History of Local Government in the County of Louth, IPA, Dublin, 2000, p132-3). -
