Training on Theory Based Impact Evaluation (TBIE) Athens (Greece), 21, 22 & 23 June, 2017 Practical Information Programme The programme will start on Wednesday 21 June with lunch at 12:30 and will finish on Friday 23 June at 16:30. Interpretation The language of the Seminar is English. There will be no interpretation available. Fee The training is free of charge. Registration All participants are kindly requested to complete their online registration form as soon as possible and at the latest by Friday 25 May 2017. Should you have any dietary requirements (e.g. allergies, vegetarian), please make sure you specify this in the registration form. Dinner will be arranged individually. The cost of dinner is covered by a fixed Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) of €50.00. Hotel Participants are to make their own accommodation arrangements at the hotel of reservations their choice. Payment is to be made directly and personally to the hotel on check-out. The hotel costs will be reimbursed by Applica on behalf of the European Commission up to €140 per night (breakfast included) for a maximum of 4 nights. Please note that personal expenses such as in-room service, drinks or pay-TV will not be reimbursed. The Athens Gate Hotel in the centre of Athens has been pre-booked at pre-arranged rates. Participants are advised to arrange accommodation quickly with the booking procedure described on page 6 (Annex 1) as rooms are subject to availability. In addition, the meeting organisers have also added four other suggested hotels on page 8 (Annex 2), without arranging a specific rate for the participants. In this case it is at the participants’ discretion to select the booking method and make their reservation. Reimbursement Hotel costs will be reimbursed up to €140 per night (breakfast included). A daily of hotel costs and allowance of €50.00 covering dinner and local expenses will be paid for each full day DSA of attendance at the training seminar with an overnight stay (please note that taxi fares will not be reimbursed). In order to obtain your reimbursement, please fill in the reimbursement form at the end of this note and send it by email with a copy of your hotel invoice (if applicable) within thirty calendar days of the end of the training to: Gisele Uwayezu - Applica ([email protected]) 1 The Michael The ‘Michael Cacoyannis Foundation’ Cultural Centre is a Cacoyannis non-profit foundation, co-financed by the Regional Foundation Operational Programme of Attica 2007-2013 and founded by Michael Cacoyannis. Michael Cacoyannis (1921-2011) has distinguished himself not only as an international filmmaker, but also as a stage and opera director, with critically acclaimed productions in Greece, USA, France and other European countries. He has published several screenplays, he has translated Shakespeare’s plays into Greek and Euripides into English, and he has written the lyrics of some of the best-known and best-loved Greek songs. How to get to the During the days of the seminar, bus transfers provided by the Ministry of Economy & venue Development will be available from Syntagma Square (at the junction of Filellinon & Mitropoleos Str.) to the ‘Michael Cacoyannis Foundation’, one hour before the start of the seminar, and back to the centre at the end of the seminar. Bus Express buses N° X95: Airport – Syntagma (trip lasts appr. 60 min) Bus tickets (€6) sold at the info/ticket-kiosk located outside Arrivals between Exits 4 and 5, or onboard at no extra cost. Metro Tickets for Metro (€10) should be bought at the airport metro/suburban station and validated before boarding on trains. Take metro line 3 (Agia Marina –Airport). Trains run every 30 min, 7 days a week from 6:30 to 23:30. The trip from/to the Airport to Syntagma station lasts 40 min. Participants are also kindly invited to a dinner hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Development on the evening of 22 June. Participation in the dinner must be confirmed by completing the relevant field in the registration form. Climate and Weather Greece has a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine, mild temperatures and a limited amount of rainfall.
