A new Expansion License for 32 cameras is introduced: BRS-XCAM-32A (F.01U.246.333) Expansion License 32 IP cameras Existing BRS systems can be upgraded to max. 64 cameras with 1x BRS- XCAM-32A expansion license or 8x BRS-XCAM-04A expansion licenses. Note: 64 cameras and 100 Mbps are only supported on server platforms following the recommended (or better) hardware specifications in BRS data sheet. 1.2 Supported 64 bit Operating System versions BRS 8.9 supports 64 bit Operating System versions of Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 R2 1.3 Digital I/O module support BRS 8.9 supports the following ADAM I/O modules: Inputs Relays ADAM 6017 0 2 ADAM 6018 0 8 ADAM 6022 2 2 ADAM 6024 2 2 ADAM 6050 12 6 ADAM 6050-W 12 6 ADAM 6051 12 2 ADAM 6051-W 12 2 ADAM 6052 8 8 ADAM 6055 18 0 ADAM 6060 6 6 ADAM 6060-W 6 6 ADAM 6066 6 6 Max. 8 I/O modules are supported per BRS. All configured inputs and relays can be used in BRS application like any other input or relay (e.g. of IP cameras and encoders) Page 2 of 6 Security Systems From Our Reference Tel Fax Grasbrunn STDN/PRM Martin Herold Oct 2011 No. 1.2 Bosch Recording Station 8.9 Release Notes 1.4 NetLimiter working on Windows 7 / Server 2008 Bandwidth limitation and UDP tunneling now also work on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. 1.5 New software features for bank market 1.5.1 Automatic log-off Protection against not authorized access: The active user can be automatically logged out after a configurable time interval of inactivity. Note: If a BRS dialog (e.g. logbook search, motion search, export...) or the Configuration is open, BRS does not log off automatically. 1.5.2 Different alarm jobs per camera For bank applications there is a need for 2 different pre- and post-alarm times for 2 different events for 1 and the same camera. This feature is implemented in BRS 8.9. Notes: Same stream settings on all jobs of this camera! Different pre-/post- alarm recording settings possible. Audio can be configured per job. 1.5.3 Alternative licensing model (USB dongle) An alternative licensing model for banking market is implemented in BRS 8.9. A USB dongle (CTN BRS-DNGL-A) will become available soon. For special cases when the customer wants to be hardware independent we offer an USB dongle that provides a unique Computer Signature (Dongle ID). Note: A BRS dongle does not include licenses or activations. BRS still must be licensed via a software authorization and SLMS. This USB dongle also can be used in case the Computer Signature changes on every start of BRS caused by e.g. RAID (which covers / alters the HDD IDs or provides an own – mostly cryptically – hardware ID) Windows 7 / Server 2008 which shows only these MACs which are actually connected Different Windows users which have different permissions to access PC hardware Page 3 of 6 Security Systems From Our Reference Tel Fax Grasbrunn STDN/PRM Martin Herold Oct 2011 No. 1.2 Bosch Recording Station 8.9 Release Notes 1.6 Further software features 1.6.1 Improved configuration for Authorisation levels On new Authorisation levels the user can multi-select cameras and enable / disable permissions for complete columns for live and playback. 1.6.2 Connection type TCP for BVIP devices A registry key is available that enables BRS to change the connection type between the BVIP devices and BRS from UDP to TCP (for both MPEG4 and H.264 devices). This feature will be project released only and it cannot be configured in the user interface. 1.6.3 SNMP traps sending for cameras is configurable With BRS version 8.9 no SNMP traps for cameras are sent by default. The setting has to be turned on in the configuration as for inputs, relays and database. 2 Fixed defects / resolved customer complaints 2.1 Exit BRS application An user could exit the BRS application, although he is not allowed. This bug is fixed. 2.2 Improvement of PTZ control The PTZ control reacts more directly to the mouse inputs of an in window PTZ action (or UI Joystick control). The PTZ commands is no longer queued so that the camera does not keep moving after the mouse button has been released again. 2.3 ASF export from HD cameras ASF export from HD cameras was jumping, not all recorded frames were exported. This bug is fixed, now all frames are exported. 2.4 Reference image check and tamper detection for H.264 cameras Reference image check and tamper detection for H.264 cameras are now supported. 2.5 Print and Save image Print and Save image is now stretched according to their real aspect ratio.
