Los Angeles Rams & Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties Team Up LOS ANGELES RAMS & MAKE-A-WISH® TRI-COUNTIES TEAM UP TO RAISE MONEY TO GRANT WISHES FOR CHILDREN BATTLING LIFE-THREATENING MEDICAL CONDITIONS WHAT: The Los Angeles Rams and Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual “LA Rams Night for Wishes” charity event to raise funds to fulfill the wishes of local children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Rams Pro Bowl Tackle and Captain ANDREW WHITWORTH will host the event alongside philanthropist and event emcee ANDREW FIRESTONE. Guests will have an opportunity to meet some of their favorite Rams players, cheerleaders, and mascot Rampage. In addition, Rams players will compete in a ‘Players Challenge’ to collect the most tips in the form of “Wish Bucks” from autographs and photos in support of Make-A-Wish Tri Counties and their mission to help make wishes come true for the children and families they serve. The evening will also include a cocktail reception, a 3-course dinner, silent and live auctions as well as entertainment. Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties grants wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Each year, over 100 children are diagnosed with a life- threatening illness and desperately need the positive experience that a wish provides. Founded in 1985, Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties has granted the heartfelt wishes of more than 1,750 local children in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties along the central coast of California. The Pro Bowl players were determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counted one-third toward determining the 86 Pro Bowl selections announced today. Two Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receivers – MICHAEL IRVIN and JERRY RICE – will serve as NFL Legends captains for the 2016 Pro Bowl. Irvin and Rice return for the second time after being the winning captains during the previous two Pro Bowls. Five-time Pro Bowler DARREN WOODSON (Team Irvin) and two-time Pro Bowler ERIC DAVIS (Team Rice) will serve as defensive co-captains. The NFL legends will also each be assisted by two active player captains and one NFL.com fantasy football champion in the draft process.
